got into a discussion with my GF and just wanted peoples opinions on who they think the better rapper is and why....

I lost a lot of respect for lil wayne
after I found out most of his stuff is ghost-written.
(written by other people)

As for Em.
Meh, he's ok.
He remains a good businessman
but has lost his edge over the years lyrically.

Both of them are just mainstreamers...

Lil Wayne's voice gets on my nerves, too whiny. My kids like him, though, so it may just be I have been overexposed. I haven't listened to much of Eminem's new stuff, but I think lots of his old stuff is pretty damn good. I kind of began to grow out of rap, a bit, but still hear it often enough with the family.

It's a matter of taste

Who has more talent... probably Em in his writing and management... but I can't stand his sound.
