where does poppy-straw fall into all of this?

here is a gallon of water / iso extract
boiled down for hours
waiting to boiled down and reduced further.

originally about 120 stems about 1' each

Poppy straw is fine for an extraction. I prefer extracting them to making tea with them. The tea seems to taste better without them. The amount of alkaloids in straw/stems is linear I read somewhere, with most of the goodies closer to the pods. I personally cut the roots off and use the whole stems.

I have done both the brown reduction and the alcohol extraction on the stems. There is no difference between the pods and stems in extraction/reductions that I noticed.
