Papaver somniferum (poppy)

What are the best Papaver somniferum to buy ? My garden centre has "Cherry glow", "Seriously Scarlet", "Blue" and a few others all being Papaver somniferum.

I read that some Papaver somniferum Varieties only have 1% morphine content and some as much as 10%, anyoneone have any experience with thisand can anyone recommend one ?

Also has anyone had any experience or heard of this one ?

Garden Center ey? I didn't know those were commonly carried in stores like that..Is this the case and I just overlooked it?

Yeah it's true. Nearly all garden centres I have looked in sell Papaver somniferum and on a pack I was looking at today it actually said "opium poppy"

I would go with giganteums, persian white, tasmanian, or turkish from what I have read.

Danebrog is known as one of the strongest, and is my preferred variety. You want the non frilled variety. The frilled petals are weak and grow very small.
