The need for mods in chat

Last night while in chat, the need for the return of chat moderators was made abundantly clear to me.
A certain member, I will not mention their name, was attacking and harassing poor Pissy Bee.
Clearly this person's behaviour was unacceptable, making chat totally unenjoyable to the point where I had to leave.
Now I know that there is the "ignore" feature, but when there are only five people in chat, one of which is idleing and two are engaged in inappropriate exchange, it makes it less enjoyable for the others.
In the old chat, this person would have been asked to behave or be /kicked.
Now we have no recourse!
Please, if it can be done, re-instate the chat mods for all our protection and enjoyment.

Didn't bother me, much... but, the ignore button wouldn't work for me for some reason, it did at first, I think, but then I would click ignore/unignore and it wouldn't matter... I tried to ignore a lot of it and just stick to the debate, but he was getting a lil outta hand... Sorry, if anyone is upset that I even responded, but a guy can only take so much... A silly guy on a cpu in cyberspace can only make me so angry... I am pretty mellow, most of the time... anyways, peace!!

it has been said who it is in chat. everyone knows already so mentioning his/their names doesnt matter. a good question is : if this person hates it here so much, why does he keep coming back?

He probably just likes conflict.

Even though a lot of people know who it is, some still don't, so omitting the name is probably a wise move.

yep.....and then some....bee did better than me at ignoring him. he was told on several occasions to please abstain from using derogatory personal comments in chat... and then to shut the fuck up, which of course he did not.......... Bee, you were a saint (bet nobody will ever call u that again lol) in the way you handled it, i need to get more in touch with my feminine side or some such shit lol...... but its good to see hip skimming the pool for scum. i second the chat mod suggestion if there is any way possible.

there will be chat mods again,
in addition to the board mods who double as chat mods now.
this will all be implemented into the chat 4.0
zen's working on.

Because he/she sucks at life and is dedicated to making each of us hate ours as much as he/she hates his/hers.
I'm pumped for chat to work again - I don't come in much but when I'm bored and I can't get the fix, it's frustrating.

I don't know if we have this feature available or not, but in some chat rooms, if half or more of the people in a room vote to kick, the individual is kicked, whether a moderator is present or not.

I hope that black screen shit is addressed, I am not about to do this & that to make everything work, I wanna hit a key, mebbe plug in a password & chat after a reasonable period of time. I am tired of "you gotta do this or that" & trying to find the mssg w the fix again, & implementing it while I have the mssg pulled up. etc. etc. My solution? Didn't chat anymore!

To get rid of that, go to the option screen of the chat, go to where it stores files onto your cpu, disable it from doing that, save settings and exit and re-enter....

Personally, I wouldn't even have voted to make the guy kicked, because the more he spoke the more it showed his character... That is what kills you in cyberworld, it's your attitude, not your knowledge or power...
