Chat Screen Black? Quick Fix Here

The following happens frequently in chat; the following was my fastest
explaination as to how to rememdy the problem. There is another thread here
about black holes, also locked, and that explains all of this in greater detail.
It was suggested that we might have a decline in chat - heaven forbid - if the
problem persisted. As there is nothing we can do about the problem, here is
the remedy.


12:20 pm: [triton]> why is the background all black?
12:21 pm: [taoistshredder]> triton can you see me?
12:21 pm: [triton]> yeah
12:21 pm: [taoistshredder]> now pay attention
12:21 pm: [triton]> k
12:21 pm: [taoistshredder]> move the mouse about a centimeter or two below the top of your screen
12:21 pm: [taoistshredder]> click the right mouse button
12:21 pm: [taoistshredder]> click settings
12:21 pm: [taoistshredder]> you'll see something about how much shit youre saving on your computer
12:22 pm: [taoistshredder]> itll be a little bar - move that bar all the way to the left, and then click the box below that locks it there
12:22 pm: [taoistshredder]> then close chat and log back in
12:22 pm: [taoistshredder]> got it?
12:22 pm: [triton]> yup
12:22 pm: [taoistshredder]> good luck man

Chatters - remember this link - if someone comes in posting about not being able to see shit, now you don't have to explain - just copy and paste this link for them - but remember to do it in white, kiddies, because their screen is all BLACK, and they can't see shit...show some compassion! lol

Okay, hopefully this is the last thread we need about this stupid black screen

right click anywhere but text box in chat, til menu comes up with settings.. Click settings, then go to the second tab over(a folder with a green arrow pointing in it), then move the slider bar to store 0 data on your cpu, and check the never ask again box... Log out and back in and Voila!! Never have to set it again, no black screen.. Peace... Or use Hippie's link to set it through shockwave's site...

Yeah i bought 1 too. It's a good buy for sure. Kensington for $10. I'm glad i'm not the only 1 with that damn black screen prob. Cool! Now I can join chat more often.
