we're on flashchat 4.3.3, i believe,
and i see now
the nook has followed our lead
and switched to flashchat too
but they're using 4.4.1
and it's much better than ours.

I found a way around the language parental filter, just add an extra letter to the word like shitt.

I like the new upgrade though, no lag and nice options. Thanks for the chat, and hopefully I'll get most of my work done today so I can chat tonight

A few of the settings could be optimized. The new version of chat has a 'bell' that u can ring to get people's attention if they are not responding.

Also the smileys can now be in a pop-up (but aren't) making picking the smileys easier.

Still an issue with the username list but that can be fixed. Also, there is a plugin for flashchat to use the banners from the site in chat as well.

Also, I can generate new sounds for the chat, get rid of the jetsons.

Just a few idears

Well, new chat sounds, smilies, & images!
If any issues, clear your internet cache, clear your flash cache and rejoin.
Same procedure as for the blackscreen, or just delete the CHAT directory in:
C:\documents and settings\Administrator\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\Q4HK5S26\forums.mycotopia.ne t\

right click the green bar near the top of chat,then click settings, then click the folder and slide the slider to 0 and close, and reopen chat, that should reset topias chat cache....

If you do not see the new colors of the chat, or if it looks funky, please follow these guidelines to erase your flash cache.

Right-Click on the blank spot below the user list and pick "Settings..."

In the window that pops up, click on the 2nd tab at the bottom.

Slide the slider all the way to the left.

A dialog will ask a question about decreasing storage. Click "OK".

Slide the slider back up to 1mb and click "Close".

After clicking OK, refresh the window by clicking the refresh button or closing & re-opening the window. The new chat should show up, shiny and new.

i would like you to re-enable
the option to select font size & type again

also i want to get rid of the flags and sports icons from the avatar/smilie lists

also the save button needs to be disabled/removed.

also i don't like the private messages in that large box you added,
which itself is too big, takes up too much of the chat screen.

plz make all of these adjustments when you can get to it.

Some users may need to clear their internet cache to get all the smilies or colors.

Firefox, click on Tools -> Clear Private Data
Check only "Cache"
Click ok

Internet Explorer, click on tools -> Internet options
click on delete files
click ok

Doing this causes errors with the room list (some users dissappear when joining the chat). And it disables the user count list!
