I'm thrilled to see that Kerry has that much backing from Nobel winners, but its probably more of a condemnation of George Bush's policies than support for John Kerry.

Those goddamn liberal Nobel winners!!! Now the conservatives will have to start their own "Fair and Balanced Peace Prize". It'll be an SUV and a copy of an Anne Coulter book.

BTW, any of you going to go see Farenheit 9/11?

"Only John Kerry would declare the country to be in scientific decline on a day when the country's first privately funded space trip is successfully completed," Schmidt said, referring to the flight of a privately financed rocket over California.

Yes! Because people with a lot of money gawking at the curvature of the earth is so much more important than stem cell research...

Whatever he's doing to get these prize winners to back him, it's a slick move by Kerry.

i know i'm going off on a bit of a tangent
but this flight means alot more than that.
this is about the very future of mankind,
and who will control space,
the governments or the corporations.
lol

"but who controls the corporations ?"

Some old , short , round guy sipping a martini on his new yaht.....somewhere near bermuda . He's on his cell phone while two young blondes , on either side of him , preen in the morning sun .

"interesting. of course scientists have political beliefs just like anyone else."

Yes.....but how very interesting that that many of the best and brightest overwhelmingly want to see Bush & Co. hit the road !
