| Check this out...Reuters has an article, which I can't seem to link to, that Rumsfeld may avoid Germany due to a 160 page indictment for war crimes! Also George Tenet & an ex-US commander are named. Amazing. Someone w/more computer knowledge/different browser find this please...

| But do they have the jurisdiction to hold a high US official, if he went into their country? Wasn't soo long ago Israel was kidnapping ex-nazis in a fashion that would have had them screaming in hordes at the U.N. if someone did it to one of their citizens. Still think it's bullshit anyone of Jewish faith can flee a capital crime & be tried under Israeli law if they make it there. Wonder if anyone ever converted on the plane to Israel? Traitors to some but human rights are just that...

|

<!-quote-!>quote: and they have the gall to criticize us as interventionists ?<!-/quote-!>

Yes. It's an awfully big step to go from enforcing international law when a wanted criminal is found on your soil, to launching a war half way around the world on false pretences. |

| seeking a warrant in a foreign court instead of an american court ? but it really comes as no great surprise that y'all would approve. still i'll wager 'tis to no avail. it was not an official german indictement, instead it's more like a civil suit anyone can file frivoluous suits. the german court won't dare to try to enforce it or arrest anyone. it's just more theater of the absurd and frustrated bet on that. | Whoa, Hip. I pass no judgement here. If an indictment has been passed down by an INTERNATIONAL court it probably has some merit and in any case will be interesting to see how it plays out, even as a civil suit. If he's too chickenshit to face it, maybe he knows of his possible guilt. The events in question took place outside of the U.S., I think jurisdiction is definitely at international level. Also, the highest executive officer is ultimately as responsible as his underlings.

|

<!-quote-!>quote: If an indictment has been passed down by an INTERNATIONAL court <!-/quote-!>

but that is NOT the case here, if you read the article closely. the complaint was filed by private citizens, there was no indictment issued by any court. |

| "of course the complaint itself was filed by american traitors." No more psychological warfare, to trick us to thinking that we ain't loyal If we don't serve our own country, we're patronizing a hero Ask Madonna, she did it. Ask her where she got that English accent from, too. I want one. |

| Ask the N.Y. Knicks, she did most of them right before she cultivated that. Not even well, sounds ridiculous on her. Incorporated several different regional dialects, totally mangling it. As do most American fakers.

| The English accent Mr. Rabbit, she cultivated it during/right after she was bangin' most of the N.Y. pro basketball team. Tough to find a connection, but whatever.

| Someone may very well take it upon themselves as he is rather hated. I got $50 that says someone takes a crack at his ass before he's out of office. Feel free to double it...

| Voting for one evil over another does not prove love. I feel national homophobia killed Kerry, but just my opinion. Look at the protests, media attacks, thousands of Bush hating websites, and general international attitude toward the U.S. now. Bask in the love, can ya feel it?

| Well, Iran still has one on Salman Rushdie. Yeah, Gitmo, a proud Republican accomplishment there. Wonder how many citizens are enjoying such accomadations. Atleast it's not in the U.S. Now U.S. navy ships in international waters, guess they enjoy the same legal blindspot with less cameras. Oh what a world we live in.

| Yes, but camp X-ray & Gitmo never made CNN soo often w/sordid tales. Maybe they should just stop letting people out. I heard today on CNN Bin Laden has a 65% approval rating in Pakistan. Thats better than Bush did in the elections.
