A foaf called me up and told me about this one. It was on the local news for him. Mushrooms are everywhere in BFE, Florida. I wish I could get more details.

Here's a possibility: the dead guy got a little too friendly under the influence of shrooms and put the moves on his friend which ended up being a mortal error. I know someone whose friend made some insinuating comments while tripping, and this guy loves guns (the kind that shoot bullets), but after months of not being friends with the guy he finally let it go and now they're neighbors and friends again.

I had another friend who got in a fight with his best friend after they had been drinking over something apparently trivial and he pulled a knife on him but ended up cutting an artery in his own leg by accident and then bleld to death on the way to the hospital. I would hate to be his best friend, I'm pretty sure it was something they would have both forgotten about in a few days. There may have been more to it than what they were technically fighting about, but that's all I heard from his old roommate.

i do not want to pretend i know what happened but this part of florida is very very rural and guns are everywhere. drinking, tripping, tweeking are common place and guns seem to always be around. people are always playing with them. i would say every 15 year old in this area has open access to shotguns, rifles and maybe pistols. it is just the way of life in these parts. sad but true

As for the shooting it sounds deeper than they were tripping. mayb the parents shoulda gone and looked to see wtf was going on after they called the cops, especially since there house was getting trashed. if it were me i woulda beat both there asses if they were breaking my shot. probly coulda prevented it since they called the police befor the kid was shit. the parents shoulda be charged with neglegence since i believe the news said he was a minor.

What I noticed in this story was the two pictures. One of the suspect, and the one of the victim. The media (intentionally or unintentionally) is portraying the suspect to look almost deranged when compaired to the picture of his former friend.

I was trying to find this story elsewhere on the web and stumbled upon MSNBC (which had the same story word for word), put also had this interesting graphic with it. I could imagine it with some low, scary bassline, followed up by a terrified scream.

What do you think?...

I would love to see a toxicology report to see the truth. I know that they probably ran blood test on both, since both went to the hospital after the shooting. Who gives thier children guns? Especially when they are eating hallucinagenic mushrooms? Does anyone know how to get ahold of the information for that murder case? Isnt that stuff public? I would love to go to that court room and see the facts.

when my buddy was traviling back from his tour in iraq he was able to stop in amsterdam for a bit. he bought some shrooms there thinking he had done enough to ignor the dosage they gave him and went for the 7g's(just to let people know, it is not always good to trip that hard after picking up the pieces of some 60 people after a bomb goes off ) so with the p.t.s.d. and the shrooms he was trying to jump out of his hotel room window. thank god and or lemmy he still was with his army buddies where able to tie him down to his bed. so the choice is up in the air do you want midly psycho or a raving looney toon. he showed me the pics of that bomb going off. any one wanting to join the army, think about what you will be seeing, smelling, and dreaming about for years after ie... pices of face stuck in a chain link fence. sorry for ranting on the wrong subject but im still like wtf? what is this all for?

Been stoned in several bar fights. Can't touch sloe gin to this day. I've seen someone develop a large hole due to a drunk w/a gun. If I'm all fucked up & someone drags out a gun to show off, I either get them to put it the hell away or bail.

personally i think they wer fighting there was damage in the house like there was a fight going on, i don't think he just picked up the gun and thought I'm gonna shoot my friend.

the parents will probably get in trouble for not having the guns locked up but if i had anything to say about it they should have instructed Thar son in how Much damage a gun can do and how to safely handle them and install in them that every gun is loaded until otherwise proved.

Few are moved to kill while in such a state unless it is really natural for them. And even then. One look from the marmoset & you may turn the gun on yourself out of shame.
Now as for the parents, I can't outright blame them at all. At 16 & 17 you would hope they'd have a little sense. Trippin' with your parents home is probably one of the best ways to freak I can think of, anyway. Much worse than having to slide past them all fucked up & you get to the bedroom you're safe. And in a parental situation, you're all worried about what the other idiot is going to do to get you busted. He probably threatened to run naked into the living room, freaked his boy out because he strongly resembles Frankenstein, and got himself smoked.
I have been involved in some strange shit (why does all the shit happen THEN?) trippin' and also know shock can kill. But (some) altered states also allows a certain control and calm to act as you know you should even when you're pretty out there. I think it also comes w/experience, as the first few times one is fragile and w/experience comes the ability to grab ahold of your head & lead the trip. Conversely, when you lose it trippin', there it goes...
Which leads me to the fact that the experienced isolate themselves from stress when they dose high.
You mentioned something in your post Grace, that makes me think of someone I mentioned this site to. If it's you I welcome you to the House of Hippie, if not I'll know in a bit.
I'm almost sure, I'll go out on a limb here. How did Hips' jars & my advice work out for you(Python is fkn awesome!)? How long did you lurk here before you registered? I think most do so be honest. Hell, I almost got banned in my first posts, well before the efforts this place allowed me to materialize.

I have plenty of guns in my house and while tripping I didn't even realize I had them or I should put it this way that was the furthest thing in my mind. I have never had a bad trip so maybe I should just lock them up and give my wife the key when I plan on tripping. I think for the person to go to the extreme and shoot someone there was definatly some other issues going on. Guns and (most)drugs don't kill people irresponsible people kill other people or themselves.

Maybe the guns should be unloaded before the trip begins. Put them in a box locked with a combination lock- let's see someone losin' their shit work a combo lock successfully, retrieve the ammo, load it, and shoot it before forgetting why exactly it was that they were trying to unlock the box in the first place.

On second thought, the purple marmosets might wait until you are tripping before they attack- they know you'll just think they're hallucinations and not shoot them. Maybe a compromise is in order, hide the big guns but keep a .22 pistol handy in case the marmosets try this ploy.

A .22 ought to take a marmoset.

I know that they probably ran blood test on both, since both went to the hospital after the shooting. Who gives thier children guns? Especially when they are eating hallucinagenic mushrooms? dr.gonzo Mycophage Join Date: Oct 2006 Posts: 115	when my buddy was traviling back from his tour in iraq he was able to stop in amsterdam for a bit. he bought some shrooms there thinking he had done enough to ignor the dosage they gave him and went for the 7g's(just to let people know, it is not always good to trip that hard after picking up the pieces of some 60 people after a bomb goes off ) so with the p.t.s.d. and the shrooms he was trying to jump out of his hotel room window. thank god and or lemmy he still was with his army buddies where able to tie him down to his bed. so the choice is up in the air do you want midly psycho or a raving looney toon. he showed me the pics of that bomb going off. any one wanting to join the army, think about what you will be seeing, smelling, and dreaming about for years after ie... pices of face stuck in a chain link fence. sorry for ranting on the wrong subject but im still like wtf? what is this all for?
