my intention isn't to stifle legitimate political discussions between regular members here-
it's to stop the abuse of this site by those who's only interest here is political,
who just pop in to paste up some spam for their candidate.

i consider raising candidate issues from current contests like the primaries to be essentially the same sort of political spam.
i just don't care if the loser in some election has a complaint about fraud, as was recently posted.
mycotopia does not want to give any free publicity to his political cause and that would of course include his complaints
as well his talking points, etc.
it's just an indirect way,
with the exact same political purpose,
to give aid and support to his political cause.
that is unacceptable.
AFTER the election you can hash out the issues if you want.

no,
arguing about candidates and/or their policies
is exactly what i do not want.
why ?
because you won't be arguing for all equally,
you'll be arguing FOR your favorite candidate & his policies
which is in effect campaigning for him.
others will then argue FOR their candidate, trash yours
and we end up exactly where we do not want to go,
fighting over this election.
