"Iran has test fired 9 missiles. Apparently one of the missiles was a long-range one - long enough to reach Israel and regional US bases. The geopolitical tension is set to remain elevated until well after the US President is sworn in."

Anyone else heard this? Shit's gettin' ready to hit the fan over there!

well, israel started doing air manuevers first, its just Iran's response, when you wanna play ball, you gotta play ball. well, the US also agreed with poland to base some missiles there, just in case.

seems like shits been hittin the fan for awhile, or at least some people want it. i say enlist the Greeks to take back their former empire!

Ahmadinejad has clearly stated "death to the U.S., the Israeli's dont' deserve to live" and has been ruthlessly doing so for quite some time now. There will obviously be a problem don't you think?. I'm surprised that something hasn't went down yet to be honest. Ahmadinejad is a fool for speaking out so blatantly the way he has been. Providing weapons to insurgents in Iraq as well! I was just listening to someone speak the other day (sorry can't remember who, he had all the "study the middle east" qualifications and i'll try to track him down if necessary but...) and he was talking about how the Iran-U.S.-Israel show is just that, a show.

It's all political pandering. Iran has never attacked anyone in their existence (not to mention that Ahmidnijad is not actually very popular in Iran), Israel would unleash a backlash that would totally fuck them over and the U.S. ultimately can't be seen to back Israel for the "world community" repercussions. This is pretty much my loose interpretation of what he said but ultimately his point was that this pandering has gone on for many years with no action behind it and none forthcoming.

you seem to have a lot of black and white views on some very gray area issues. No shit, they're real planes and missiles - real blood is being spilled - welcome to the world. I don't recall a lot of press on the Iran-Israel-US conflict except for the "he said she said" bullshit that makes up politics. Who gives a fuck if bob set off some missiles, slocumb fired some guns or Ahmed flew some planes - it's all political dick-waving up to this very moment. Also, if taking water from a water body its recommended to dip your container 18" below surface level to take in less sediment. Clear nalgenes exposed to 24 hours sunlight are said to kill many bacteria.

My proposal is not for everyone to become farmers again, but to delegate stewards of intelligent systems. These intelligent systems, must be home based an re-colonise old growth planet power.. green.. oxygen.. chlorophyll.. nutrients and networks.

Conveniently, everyone has a few window sills.. space enough to stack some old tyres.. a spare room or cupboard.
A stack of old tyres could grow 50-100kg of potatoes in a year!

Even in a dense city flat, one can have substantial yields. Whats say we all took our mycology skills to the local primary schools.. and started getting a few fresh minds excited about the life cycle of shrooms. Edible ones!
