Japanese Customs gave free pot to traveler! Doh!

I hope it was good. 142 grams is a lot.

    Check it out:
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7419969.stm

    Quote:
A customs officer hid a package of the banned substance in a side pocket of a randomly chosen suitcase in order to test airport security.
Sniffer dogs failed to detect the cannabis and the officer could not remember which bag he had put it in.

Anyone finding the package has been asked to contact customs officials.
"This case was extremely regrettable. I would like to deeply apologise," said Narita International Airport's customs head Manpei Tanaka.
Hello? Customs? This is John Doe, and after going through Customs in your uber-strict anti-pot country I found over a QP of dank in my suitcase. Would you like me to return it, or just send a Thank-You note?

I would like to think that Japan officials would communicate to other Custom branches. Telling info such as where the flight was coming from, how much dope was planted, and how it could be found such as wrapping etc.

    Oh what a PITA tho...lol

Id like to think so to, but could you imagine how the person would feel if another customs worker would ask to empty your bag and you would pull that out holy shit! lmfao

Man I wish I got that surprise after my trip to Japan. Might have been worth getting snowed into Narita's international terminal

And I'm checking as many bags as they'll let me to boost my odds...

I think they should stash a bag like that in the suitcase of everyone who isn't on a connecting flight. Talk about a way to stimulate tourism AND help everybody mellow out after a long trip!

Actually, I think the officer must've smoked it and needed to cover his ass, or at least he probably smoked some of it... "now where the hell did I put the rest of that training weed?"
