And yet another sacred herb to become criminalized because stupid kids abuse it. I'd think that giving teens salvia would be a great way to keep most away from doing drugs. Here, Billy. This is marijuana. Most teens would never touch it again (and the ones who would could probably handle it.) I'm not being serious about giving teens salvia incidentally. |

I think it's funny that the folks for prohibition of salvia always site the risk of people driving under the influence of salvia as the reason you need to ban it. Who drives on salvia? Who WOULD even drive on salvia? I would think after smoking some salvia that you would be too busy laughing, rolling on the floor and maybe peeing yourself (seen it happen) to try driving, at least for fifteen minutes or so. How about this? Maybe a federal law limiting sales to minors? I wouldn't mind that. How about a license to use salvia spiritualy after taking a safety course? It's funny that in the eyes of the law the immediate solution to something potentially harmful is always to outright ban it. *DOOD- |

My Dad's cousin ( I don't know what that would have made her to me) was run over and killed by a drunk driver when she was only 15. A friend of mine is slowly killing herself drinking, even though her own sister just died of alcohol induced liver failure. But it's still legal. To quote the fabulous Bill Hicks: "You never see a positive drugs story on the news, do ya? No. Always negative. But the news is supposed to be objective. I mean, isn't it supposed to be THE NEWS? But every drug story is negative? I've had some killer times on drugs! I'm not promoting it, but I'm not denying it. Same LSD story every time: "Young man on acid, thought he could fly jumped out of a building, what a tragedy." What a dick! He's an idiot. If he thought he could fly, why didn't he take off from the ground and check it out first? What a moron. We lost a moron. WE LOST A MORON!!! I don't mean to sound cold or cruel or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out. Professional help is being sought. But wouldn't you like to see a positive LSD story? Would that be newsworthy? To base your decision on information rather than scare tactics and superstition and lies? Just once, to hear what it's all about: Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death. Life is only a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather! " Anything that threatens to illuminate is more of a threat than anything that keeps the populace opiated and dull. Salvia will be banned. "They" don't want us to open up. |

I point the original blame to the various headshops and other similar stores for the propagation of Salvia as a legal alternative to Cannabis or, in some stupid instances, LSD. Had the plant been kept in context and not exploited as if it were some recreational drug, I doubt that the popularity of the plant among mindless teens (and adults) would've brought it to this point. I wish that the government would cease criminalizing nature due to the reckless behavior of idiots. But you know why it happens? Because people aren't responsible and since we, as humans, cannot assume it, the government steps in and forces it. If you know a kid that hypes and pipes Salvia like it's cool, the best thing you can do is walk up and slap the shit out of him. Same thing with headshop owners pushing Purple Sticky Salvia as if it's Kush or Windowpane. And for the record- driving on Salvia? I don't feel I could make it to the vehicle and figure out how to turn it on, and by the time I did- the experience would've faded. Sorry excuses...

i've had some amazing eperiences on salvia. it usually takes me a couple days just to begin digesting it for what it is. once i visited by high order beings who spoke to me and told me i was headed in the right direction. one put a protective cone around me that came from her mouth.
