I posted in off topic over at shroomery how even though the information on that site was priceless, the people were elitist assholes and the vibe was just not right, and how they had noobies giving all the advice, and none of the advice was worth taking, and leading people into failed grows, and the worthless trolling in mushroom cultivation was driving that community into a toilet abyss and people don't want to be a part of that, and that i'd rather be a part of 'topia where everyone's cool and share my grows here, and not there, and there is no trolling here at topia, where as at that site, u can post a good post, full of knowledge, and get trolled for a month over it..


So i got permabanned???

that's pretty elitist, and just reinforces my claims on how bad that site sucks!!!

I have only been over there a handfull of times. I have read many posts in the limited visits. I was really taken aback by how rude and unkind people seemed to be towards each other. There seemed to be quite a bit of drama as well.

So, in other words, you did the same thing at Shroomery that gravit8 did here (in the thread you were a part of), except in addition to talking shit (calling them elitist assholes) and dissing their site, you also told them how this site was so much better? I'm not surprised you got banned at all. No offense, but it sounds like you had it coming to you.

What do you think would have happened here if you had written the same post, substituting Mycotopia wherever you had typed Shroomery?

the trolling over there is horrible as ive said b4 they bait him with multiple people. he'll ask nicely once then puts em in there place the second time. i for one agree with him and his actions. it's not just one person and mods over there do not take control of nothin.

shroomery does have good info, does have some great people, but at the same time the place is ran outta control. thanks H3


look every thread i had over there got ran over. not one mod took control. lime always was asking people to back off as he gave me tips. then the trolling started, because we was cool over there. as far as im concerned kick the shroomerite bullshit off your shoes when you walk in to the door here at topia. topia is a place of friends and some i would consider family here.

you know as long as you mind your p's and q's you can call this place home no matter who you are.

I don't get why anyone that knows about Mycotopia would care about the Shroomery? I mean, once you take the training wheels off, riding a bike is a lot of fun. No sense in putting them back on. Training wheels being Shroomery assholes, in this case.

Mycotopia is certainly the cream of the crop. The bunch here knows what's up, and they're doing it on the level. Great cultivation advice, as well as life advice, all around.

i steer clear of mushroom cultivation over there. just hang out in the photo gallery forum. most of the ppl there are nice. although, just about every thread i read there gets ruined by someone flaming someone else.

what did they ban you for? what you just said? im sure many boards would ban you if you posted that. lol.

i just think that there is just way too much to keep up with there. and there aren't enough mods. they need like 30 mods per forum. i see flat out name calling and some horrible things that no one even deletes. im amazed at some of the complete lack or respect across that forum myself. but when people start trying to argue with me there, i ignore them lol..simple solution. its big enough to avoid the idiots. but with big boards you get many numbers. you don't get the extra attention there that you would here. smaller pond means better answers imho. and we fry those fish real quick that start name calling. out of respect for the rest of the members on the forum.

Its all in the leadership here. Hip demands a site where you can learn and teach in a fun and respectful environment. We do have our share of assholes that come and go. False or wrong information will not last very long here. Everyone here is encouraged to experiment and post their findings, where at other sites the ones who know the mods or the mods themselves shove their opinions and beliefs down everyones throats, right or wrong.

I simply posted in regards to another persons complaint about how difficult it was to get solid help there for growing mushrooms, i didn't START a thread dissing their site.

Mycotopia would never have that vibe, that i would sit here and diss it.

i found mycotopia through a link on the shroomery somehow. They do have some good info, and i learned a lot from them but ive learned more here, in a shorter amount of time, with no bullshit. there is definitely a higher IQ level here overall

yeah that place has a WEALTH of info, but sifting through the utter disrespect is tiresome, and it's never deleted, here it's pretty much BS free. I didn't mean to start a "this place is better then that place" thread, i really just intended to say it was a ridiculous reason to get banned.
