don't know if you guys have ever heard of this.. ..Blue Candle - Myrtillocactus geometrizans it has mescaline and nothing else listed in it.. it's active when eaten raw!ref. ... quoted to save time " Myrtillocactus M. geometrizans - Native to the central Mexican plateau. A tree-like plant with distinct upward curving branches. Stems have 4 to 5 wide ribs, bearing slightely felted areoles set far apart. Has 5 small, reddish-brown radial spines. Each areole can have several short, greenish flowers. The edible fruit is bright blue and globular, reiniscent of a blueberry in appearance. Contains: mescaline.".. from visionary cactus guide on erowid. also, listed in the back of Tihkal under mescaline. Last edited by Beastmaster; 11-07-09 at 15:37. Reason: added 'not' to the title |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Myrtillocactus geometrizans Full sun 15c + Medium watering-right after substrate dries Easy grafting Fast growing, permanent stock Advantages 1. Fast growth rate. 2. Tolerates some over watering. 3. Loves heat. 4. Accepts almost any scion specie. Disadvantages 1. Doesn't like cool weather. Notes: This is another very popular grafting stock. It is an all around good stock for most species of cacti. It can tolerate a fair amount of water when kept warm, but may rot if kept moist and cold. It does best in 20+ degrees. Grafts onto this specie tend to grow at a good rate and keep their form rather nice. They are also a little hardier when grafting scions too. They should not be kept as humid as long as other stocks such as Hylocereus or they may develop rot or other infections. From graft to outdoor sunshine we usually allow 3 weeks. This is very similar in growth rate as Trichcereus pachanoi, but prefers warmer temps; where as T. pachanoi can tolerate cooler temps for longer periods. For warmer climates, this is a better choice. For cooler climates T. pachanoi is probably a wiser choice. |

it would be useful to know the percent of dry weight yield of mescaline is before we start boiling and extracting. if it's .0001 there's not much point to sacrificing them. also: my pachanoi have grown two full inches since the weather turned cool here a month ago in Michigan. As near as I can tell they grow better in 40 F degrees than 80-90 degrrees with all they water and food they want. |
