The only way you'll ever hang out with them is if you go to a few shows They'll start to recognize your face as being a "regular" and will give you more access. You have better chances since they play smaller venues. Getting backstage at a stadium concert is damn near impossible. But a lot of bands want to go party afterwards at some local night-spot. Just talk to the guys in the band and see what's shaking. |

Oh yeah, if I hit the lottery I wouldn't tour at all. I'd hire all my favorite bands to come play at my local fair/pigpicking. Vending would be welcome. Free camping and food but you gotta bring your own booze. Imagine a 3 day festival with all your favorite bands. Plenty of horseshoes, volleyball and whatever else blows your skirt up. sorry I meant that saddam sold oil in euros in november 2002 in defiance to the U.S. and stopped oil production for 30 days in protest of israely occupation of palestenean cities in april 2002.which had an affect on the oil supply. in my opinion if the war on terror goes to iran or venezuela, then it's obvious why.it's the oil market we depend on. |

We needed to pump in cable tv, mtv, sony playstions, maytage dishwashers, dryers, and washing machines. Seally posteurpedic beds, craftmatic adjustable. Micky D's. Pepsi Cola, Budweiser and rock n roll. Would have been cheaper and less people would have died for sure. Oh you wanna fight..?.... well then, we will just cut off your "Day's of our Jihad" soap operah. |

Allright Ill be the first to ask politley. Please show a little constraint. We pride our selves on being an upstanding board of adults. I understand you may be peterbed. as for a new section to post to If you cant figure out where to post what you want to discuss in an area that we currnetly have then it is more then likely a subject not up for disscusion. But from what we have for topics anything is covered. But a little constraint would be appreciated in your posting manor. Im not jumping on your back here just asking politley.

This isn't a chat area, it is a post area. If you have a topic then post it and watch for a response. If you want to chat, then use that area instead. And if you can't control yourself, then go to bed but stay away from the computer

OK, I've been off ciggies for what will be 3 months this coming Friday....and off of Nicotine itself for about 2 and a half months (I started with patches and then chewing tobacco to totally wean myself off Nicotine)....but of course, I still love to smoke! Our friend JojobaFruit has a thread in Marketplace where Dagga is among the pickings, and if you're reading this Jojo...well, hopefully you won't think it inappropriate for me to take a quick survey of our members here to see what they think about it, since I'm strongly considering taking you up on what you have to offer...what's that, like 20 grams for $15? That seems like a nice amount to last me for a bit, so save some for me! So, what do you guys think about it? I know it's psychoactive, but not quite on the level of the Good Herb ....is it something nice for me to smoke on when I get the itch to smoke something, but there's none of the Herb to be found?

We hopped around the Easter History category in the Yahoo! Directory, and then returned to the front page and searched on "easter bunny history" to dig up the dirt on this rascally rabbit. As it turns out, the Easter bunny has a long history as a pagan symbol that predates the Christian holiday. In fact, our sources suggest that early Christians purposefully co-opted the pagan hare to popularize their own holiday. Quite a few pagan cultures hold celebrations in the spring. It's the time of year when plants return to life after being dormant all winter and when animals mate and procreate. These festivities celebrate the renewal of life and promote the fertility of crops, animals, and even people, which was important in these agrarian communities. The Saxons believed in a maiden goddess of fertility named Eastre or Eostre (Oestre in Latin) and honored her with a spring festival. Hares and rabbits were considered sacred to Eastre because they are notoriously fertile animals. In the second century A.D., Christian missionaries tried to convert northern European tribes. To help make Christianity attractive, the missionaries turned pagan festivals into Christian holidays. The pagan Eastre festival occurred around the same time as the Christian celebration marking Christ's resurrection so the two celebrations blended into one, rabbit and all. Over time, Eastre became Easter, and the symbolism changed as well. Instead of the Easter rabbit symbolizing fertility, the rabbit may symbolize an innocent, vulnerable creature that can be sacrificed, similar to the lamb. To Christians, these innocents are tokens of Christ and the sacrifice he made. The Easter bunny we know today was influenced by German traditions dating back to the 1500s. German children believed that the Oschter Haws (a magical rabbit) would leave them a nest of colored eggs at Eastertime if they were good. Pennsylvania Dutch settlers brought this tradition to America in the 1700s. On a related note, eggs have long been a symbol of rebirth and thus associated with spring celebrations. In the 600s, Pope Gregory the Great forbade the eating of eggs during Lent (the 40 days proceeding Easter), and this helped make eggs a special treat at Easter. Many European cultures also have old customs of decorating eggs and giving them as gifts.

I opened this post up thinking it was going to be an open ended question with no answer. Perhaps even a cynical jab at Christianity. I am very pleasantly surprised to find such a cool bit of info. I had no clue as to why there is an Easter Bunny. Thanks for such a cool post |
