Man I am broke as hell but I'll be there if I have to sneak in. I would love to know if anyone has extras they want to get rid of for cost. If so, PM me and I'll take at least one, for sure. I will definitely be there but I would like to be sure I can get a ticket, just in case they sell out before I can come up with the money. PB

Just incase anyone is wondering I ran into about 30 people selling tickets on Thursday the last two years, the day before any music even starts. Not something you want to rely on but if yo have to I bet you can get a ticket there, and actually cheap too sometimes. I saw people get in for $50 last year.

Source: http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v04/n281/a10.html?3 43 GOODBYE ECSTASY, HELLO 5-MEO-DMT New Designer Drugs Are Just a Click Away Psychedelics Legal In US But Banned In UK Are Openly Available On The Internet British recreational drug users are turning to a new generation of designer class A drugs from the United States as demand for ecstasy plummets, the Guardian has established. The majority of these new drugs are powerful synthetic psychedelics from the same chemical families as LSD, magic mushrooms and mescaline. They are too new to have enticing street names; instead their lengthy chemical names are shortened to abbreviations such as 2C-I, 4-HO-DiPT, and 5-Meo-DMT. Unlike ecstasy, methamphetamine or other synthetic recreational drugs, the new compounds are not made in illicit factories or backroom kitchen laboratories. Instead, "research chemicals", as they are euphemistically known, are synthesised by commercial labs, often based in the US, which openly sell their products on the internet. The rapid growth in the transatlantic online trade in such chemicals has been fuelled by international differences over legality. While Britain has outlawed all of these drugs - under an amendment to the Misuse Of Drugs Act in February 2002 - they remain legal in most other countries, including the majority of EU member states. Even in the US, despite some of the most draconian anti-drug laws in the world, the bulk of research chemicals are legal to manufacture, sell, possess and consume. With ecstasy dropping in price and popularity, users and dealers in this country are looking further afield to obtain new highs. A recent Home Office survey found that ecstasy use had dropped 21% in the last year. The street price had also dropped to an all time low of UKP2-UKP3 a pill. But while most research chemicals are too psychedelically powerful to make it as club drugs, one, 2C-I, is rapidly gaining popularity in this country as a dance drug, thanks to some similarities in effect to MDMA, the main ingredient of ecstasy. More than 125 pills of the drug were seized by police last year, including 65 at the Glastonbury festival, and some London dealers are offering it for UKP10 a tablet. British police acknowledge that the internet drugs trade is a growing problem. "It is one of our key priorities," a spokeswoman for the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit, responsible for policing internet crime, told the Guardian. "Supply of class As is one of the areas we are examining." Most research chemicals come as crystalline white powder. They can be swallowed, snorted, smoked or injected. Some users prefer to administer them via enema. Psychedelic stimulants such as 2C-I and 2-CT-2 induce visual hallucinations, energy surges, and euphoria. The most powerful is 5-Meo-DMT, doses of which are smaller than a grain of salt. When smoked, its effects are nearly instantaneous, propelling the user into an alternate reality, described as like "being shot out of the nozzle of an atomic cannon". The experience lasts 10 minutes. Competitive Online drug trading is becoming an increasingly competitive and sophisticated industry. Last month, the Guardian revealed that at least five British websites were selling cannabis online. The leading research chemical sites compete openly to offer the purest product, the best customer service, the fastest deliveries and the lowest prices. Sophisticated e-commerce technology, electronic payment systems and next day courier services guarantee swift, effortless "one-click" transactions. Most sites offer between five and 15 different drugs, with prices ranging from $95 to $350 ( about UKP50-UKP185 ) a gram excluding delivery. The maximum order is 5g. Customers must be over 21. Credit cards and international money orders are accepted. Drugs like 2C-I can be shipped, via UPS or Fedex, worldwide. Next day delivery is often guaranteed. Most will ship to the UK and other EU states with one caveat: "All purchasers are responsible for compliance with any applicable city, county, state, federal or national regulations related to the purchase, possession and use of any and/or all product," reads the disclaimer on one site. "It's very easy to get them if you know where to go and you're prepared to take the risk," said Charlie, 34, a photographer and graphic designer from south London. He calls himself a regular customer of a research chemicals company based in New York. Every three months he buys a selection using his credit card. It usually takes three days to arrive via UPS Express. Most recently he made a repeat-order for 1g of 2,5-dimethyoxy-4-ethylthiophenethylamine ( or 2-CT-2 for short ), a class A psychedelic similar in effect to mescaline. It costs $175 excluding delivery. "It's pure. You know exactly what you're getting," he said. Research chemicals are advertised online as 99% lab pure, but experts warn that that does not mean they are safe. Compared with similar drugs like LSD and magic mushrooms, which have undergone decades of informal human experimentation with relatively few direct fatalities, research chemicals are unknowns. Few human or animal toxicity studies have been carried out. Even their proponents are at pains to point out the unpredictability and danger involved in reckless experimentation. "It is not reasonable to assume that these chemicals are in any way 'safe' to use recreationally," states the FAQ at erowid.org, the internet's biggest underground drug resource. "When you take a research chemical, you are stepping out into the unknown, and you could be the unfortunate person to discover a new drug's lethal dose." Safety is a big issue among avid users of research chemicals. Detailed "trip reports" and harm reduction tips are shared through an extensive network of websites and bulletin boards. First time users are expected to read up on their drug of choice and start with small amounts. Nevertheless, with active doses running to hundredths or even thousandths of a gram, overdoses triggering unexpected reactions can be a very real threat, even with electronic scales sensitive to these weights. In October 2000, Jake Duroy, 20, from Oklahoma, snorted 35mg of a research psychedelic called 2-CT-7 he had ordered from the web. He was an experienced user but this was a massive amount of the drug to take nasally, which can greatly amplify the effect. He quickly became agitated and violent and two hours later died of a heart attack. In April the following year, a 17-year-old died after snorting a similar amount of the same drug. A year later in July 2002, 2-CT-7 was emergency-scheduled by the US Drug Enforcement Agency. In their statement, they cited information from trip reports on the internet. After these tragedies, 2-CT-7 was removed from the online marketplace and has not reappeared. Police Warning The EU recently recommended that member states ban 2C-I as a matter of urgency, although they turned up no evidence of large scale manufacture. The police, however, were quick to sound the alarm. "The chemicals to make this are available and it can be made pretty much anywhere," a source said. Most research chemicals were invented by one man, Californian biochemist Dr Alexander Shulgin, 78. As an expert witness and adviser to the US Drug Enforcement Agency, he held a licence permitting him to study psychoactive drugs. Over decades, he created hundreds of new mind-altering compounds and then tested them on himself and a small coterie of fellow "psychonauts". The recipes for more than 170 of his materials were published in two biochemical cookbooks in the 1990s and now form the backbone of the research chemicals industry. Despite the risks, Charlie is prepared to order again, although he admits he gets nervous every time. "I track them via the delivery company's website and can watch when they pass through customs safely," he said. "Then I know I can relax." [sidebar] STRANGE AND OUTRAGEOUS CHEMICALS DMT Dimethyltryptamine Found in minute quantities in certain Amazonian plants and in the human brain. Smoked, the effects are nearly instantaneous and very strange. "The closest you'll get to experiencing death bar actually dying" as one user put it. Dose 2-60mg Duration Less than 10 minutes Legal status Class A Price UKP100 a gram on the street 5-Meo-DMT Methoxydimethyltryptamine A more powerful sister compound of DMT, occurring naturally in the venom of the Bufo alvarius toad but generally smoked in synthesised form. Not uncommon for those who take large amounts to suffer psychological and emotional difficulties for weeks afterwards. Dose 1-20mg ( smaller than a grain of salt ) Duration 5-20 minutes Legal status Class A but available to buy on the internet Price $175 ( about UKP90 ) a gram 2C-I ( 2,5-dimethoxy-4-iodophenethylamine ) Most likely candidate for the coveted title "the next ecstasy". Powerful psychedelic stimulant described as a cross between MDMA and LSD but with much gentler side-effects. Already appearing in pill form on the UK dance scene. Dose 10-25mg Duration 5-8 hours Legal status Class A but available to buy on the internet Price $299 a gram web price; UKP10 a pill on the street 2-CT-2 ( 2,5-dimethyoxy-4-ethylthiophenethylamine ) Respected psychedelic, from the same phenethylamine family as MDMA and mescaline. Noted for its warmth and "outrageous visuals". Dose 10-25mg Duration 5-8 hours Legal status Class A but available to buy on the internet Price $299 a gram web price; UKP10 a pill on the street

Funny thing about the net, huh? I've a friend (no, really, not a "FOAF" if you will) that buys Vicodin's (10/500) off the net, believe it or not, and they arrive the very next day via overnight shipping. She says she has to fill out an "information" sheet with about a doz questions but big deal. Amazing what freedom of information means in real terms.

yes i did 2C-i, as a matter of fact a dose was sold to me for $15 at a party. He said it was Mescline. i read later that its impossible to fit that much mescline into that small a pill. anyway it was rather amazing. imagine a 20mg adderall caplet with a bit a white powder filling the very very rouned bottom of the pill.. thats how big the dose was.. perhaps a little less than that. I tripped extremely hard for about 8 hours. the kid i did it with didnt feel any effects for 3 hours i felt it within 20 minutes. everything was melting, the pull chain of a basement light started to multiply and slowly fade all around me. i laughed extremely hard at a wall for like 10 minutes. i saw a poster of miles davis melt like hot wax infrot of me. i heard voices explaining what certain phenominons were called. I believed for about 4 hours that i was the lizard king. I acted uncontrolably like Hunter Thompson and my neck muscles spasmed like crazy. it was pretty harsh and i couldnt do much the next day.. i probobly wont do it again.. but i got alot out of it and it was totally worth it... but yea.. i wont do it again i dont think. i find the mushroom alot alot more pleasent. the lessons the mushroom taught me were alot more jovial and nice.. one word of caution.. make sure you dont take to much. this is pure product. no additives no cutting. its pure. that means you only have to take a tiny tiny amout to trip.. there's probobly anywhere from 100-1000 doses per gram... so be careful and do us all a favor.. dont do anything reckless because we most certainly dont need anymore laws thanks.

ya true that. I was on erowid site reading the posts and what not. Pretty much everyone said not to take a lot of it, one kid measured out a dose then licked the envelope that it was kept in by accident and was all tied up all night. Every speck can mess you up. Well anyways I think I am going to try it sometime. Maybe just for something different.

| Banisteriopsis caapi (Ayahuasca) The Ayahuasca brew is considered by the Amazon's tribes as one of the masters 'teacher plants'. It has been used by Shamans of the Peruvian Andes and Amazon jungle for centuries as an essential part of their traditional medicine and as a way of expanding consciousness. In Quechua, the term 'aya' means spirit or soul while 'huasca' means rope (the soul's rope). For the Amazon curanderos (healers) Ayahuasca is known as the 'path to knowledge'. It allows us access to the deepest realms of our identities and to communicate with the spirit of nature in a holistic way. Family Malpighiaceae Other Names Ayahuasca, Caapi, Yage, Yaje, Natem, Datem, Pinde, Dapa, Vine of the Soul, Vine of the Dead, spirit of the dead, Spirit Vine. Plant Description Banisteriopsis caapi (Spruce ex Griseb.) Morton. Malpighiaceae, Pyramidotorea, Tribus Banisteriae. One hundred species of plants in tropical America. Three of these are known for their hallucinogenic effects in Ayahuasca. These three plants are B. inebriens, B. caapi (Schultes 1970) and B. quitensis (Schultes 1995). The best known of these three species and the main component of ayahuasca is Banisteriopsis caapi. Shrub or extensive liana in tropical forests. Bark usually chocolate-brown, smooth. Leaves opposite, oval-shaped, green, marginally entire, 8-18 cm long, 3.5-8 cm wide, upper surface glaborous. Inflorescence axillary or terminal cymose panicles. Flowers 12-14 mm in diameter 2.5-3 mm long, 1.5 mm wide. Petals pink, 5-7 mm long, 4-5 mm wide. Stamens 10, Fruit a samara nut 5 mm long. This liana is maily propagated vegetatively because it rarely blossoms and sets seed. The fan-like shaped seeds are green when fresh, but turn brown with age. Historical "The use of Ayahuasca for visionary experiences appears to be primeval, to judge from the richness of associated mythology. Pre-Columbian rock drawings are similar to contemporary Ayahuasqueros' paintings, which are said to represent Yage visions (see page 127 of "Plants of the Gods" for a fine example of such a drawing on granite). However, the earliest known record of the practices associated with this botanical wasn't set down until the middle of the nineteenth century. The author was Richard Spruce, a one time British schoolteacher, who was among the early explorers to make the perilous journey into the Amazon. Spruce almost died of dysentery and malaria but survived to become one of botany's greatest collectors. In 1851, while exploring the upper Rio Negro of the Brazilian Amazon, he observed the use of Yage. He came upon it twice in Peru in 1853. In his Notes of a Botanist on the Amazon and Andes, he described its sources, its preparation and its effects upon himself. Unfortunately, Spruce's experience was characterized mainly by his getting sick. Spruce's Notes didn't appear in print until 1908. Alfred Russel Wallace, who simultaneously with Darwin conceived the theory of evolution, edited them. Spruce suspected that additives were responsible for the psychoactivity of this beverage, although he noted that Banisteriopsis by itself was considered mentally active. The samples he sent to England for chemical analysis weren't located and assayed until more than a century later. They were still psychoactive when examined in 1966. The first widely read description of Yage practices was published in 1858 by Manuel Villavicencio, an Ecuadorian geographer. The experience made him feel he was "flying" to most marvelous places. Describing how natives responded, he reported that natives using this drink were able to foresee and answer accurately in difficult cases, be it to reply opportunely to ambassadors from other tribes in a question of war; to decipher plans of the enemy through the medium of this magic drink and take proper steps for attack and defense; to ascertain, when a relative is sick, what sorcerer has put on the hex to carry out a friendly visit to other tribes to welcome foreign travelers or, at least to make sure of the love of their womenfolk. Several early explorers of northwestern South America -Martius, Crevaux, Orton, Koch-Grunberg and others- also referred to Ayahuasca, Yage and Caapi. They all cited a forest liana but offered little detail. In the early twentieth century, it was learned that the use of Banisteriopsis vines for healing, initiatory and shamanic rites extended from Peru to Bolivia. In 1923, a film of Indian yage ceremonies was shown at the annual meeting of the American Pharmaceutical Association. Other noteworthy publications drawing attention to the effects of this drink came from Rusby and White, who observed Yage practices in Bolivia in 1922, from the Russians Varnoff and Jezepezuk, who did Colombian fieldwork in 1925-1926, and from Morton, who in 1931 published Klug's southern Colombian notes about Banisteriopsis inebrians". Traditional Health Uses When the Ayahuasca is used for medical purposes, the shaman is the person to take the drugs, not the patient. Sometimes the patient has already tried conventional medicine. If that fails, they will turn to the shaman for treatment believing that the source of the illness may be magical. During this treatment the shaman will imbibe in the drink and translate the visions he sees while under the influence of the drug. He interprets these visions so he can discern what caused the illness and fight it symbolically. The shaman will sing to the patient about the fight and in the process is freeing him from the evil (Rivier and Lindgren 1972). This is not the only way the drinks are used medicinally. In some cultures, the shaman and the patient will ingest the drink (Bennett 1992). Entheogenic/Psychological Properties The 'caapi'-experience usually begins with restlessness and nausea. After a period of emotional disturbances, the mild visual and auditory hallucinations appear. Time and space perception are seriously altered. Synaesthesias may occure; phenomenon in which the senses become transmuted, so that colors can translate themselves into sound or sound may be experienced as visions. Various psychoactive additives influence the experience. Autonomic effects: dilated pupils, nausea, tremor, rise of bloodpressure, increase of body temperature. Source The geographical origin is not known because the plant is cultivated throughout the entire Amazonion region (the plant grows in Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Equador etc.) Legal Status Ayahuasca: not controlled by international conventions. In the criminal procedure against the Santo Daime churches in the Netherlands, the District Attorney delivered an official letter from Mr. Herbert Schaepe, Secretary of the United Nations International Narcot*ics Control Board. The letter answered some questions from the Dutch Ministry of Public Health about the use of a preparation called 'Ayahuasca' by religious groups in the Netherlands. The letter says: "The above-mentioned issue was consulted by the INCB Secretariat with the Scientific Section and the Legal Advisory Section of the United National International Drug Control Programme (UNDCP). It is our under*standing that 'Ayahuasca' is the common name for a liquid preparation (decoction) for oral use prepared from plants indigenous to the Amazon basin of South America, essentially the stem bank of different species of a jungle vine (Banisteriopsis sp.) and the trypt*amine-rich plant Psychotria viridis. Accor*ding to the scientific literature, Ayahuasca commonly contains a number of psychoactive alkaloids, including DMT which is a substance included in Schedule I of the 1971 Convention on Psychotropic Substances. The letter concludes with the statement: No plants (natural materials) containing DMT are at present controlled under the 1971 Convention on Psy*chotropic Substances. Consequently, preparations (e.g. decoctions) made of these plants, including Ayahuasca are not under international control and, therefore, not subject to any of the articles of the 1971 Convention. Contents Harmine: 7-methoxy,1-methyl-bC Harmaline: 3,4-dihydroharmine Harmine-N-oxide Harmine acid: methylester: Methyl-7-methoxy-b-carboline-1-carboxylate Harmilinic acid: 7-methoxy-3,4-dihydro-b-carboline1-carboxylic acid Harmanamide: 1-carbamoyl-7-methoxy-b-carboline Acethylnorharnine: 1-acethyl-7-methoxy-b-carboline Keto-tetrahydronorharmine: 7-methoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1-oxo-b-carboline The active ingredients of Banisteriopsis caapi are alkaloids of the b-carboline-type: harmine, harmaline and derivatives. The stems contain 0.11-0.83% b-carbolines, of which 40-96% is harmine. Principal active biochemicals: the beta-carbolines harmine, harmaline, and tetrahydroharmine are present in the bark, stems, and trunk of B. caapi (= B. inebrians), and other species of Banisteriopsis. Tetrahydroharmine occurs in greater concentration in B. caapi than in other plants bearing harmala alkaloids such as Peganum harmala (Syrian rue). This may account for the more profound and lasting effects produced by genuine Ayahuasca compared to "analogue" preparations. Theraputic Preparation http://www.parkinson.org/altermed.htm Entheogenic Preparation To prepare the Ayahuasca drink, the Piro cut the vine in pieces of approximately 20 cm in length, smash it with a stone, and fill a cooking pot with layers of Ayahuasca (Banisteriopsis caapi), and leaves of the Chacruna plant (Psychotria viridis), and then add water. The drink is boiled for several hours until only about 10 percent of the liquid remains. This brew is then taken by the Ayahuasquero in a special healing session or by all adult tribal members during ceremonies in an annual cycle of rituals. For the day of the ceremony, it is recommended to consume only non-acid fruits, vegetables, aromatic water and water, both for breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon it is recommended not to consume any solid foods. These prescriptions facilitate the plant to cure our body and our vital energy. As a spiritual preparation it is essential to be at peace with ourselves, our family, our social surroundings, our natural surroundings, and to have a specific and suitable intention of our physical and spiritual necessities for the encounter with the sacred plant related to the search of our physical, mental and spiritual health, as well as with the knowledge that allows us to make our life a piece of art. In order to bring life back into the dried Ayahuasca Vine, it must first be brought in contact with water for 24 hours. Water is Life, and by steeping the Liana in water for a full day/night cycle the spirit can enter back into the Ayahuasca. It will also become much easier to work with the vine. The material becomes soft and pliable. Simply split the whole vine lengthwise, and roughly break the pieces. Add enough water to cover the vine and leave for a day and a night. The next day, the fibers will have become soft, and after removing them from the water, they can easily be pounded with a hammer on a rock or other hard surface. Do this untill all fibers are flattened and split so there is no need for further shredding or powdering. The fibers can be placed back in the water they have been in before and boiling can start. Besides it being convenient to work with whole Ayahuasca Vine, it also allows you to put your needs and intentions into the Vine while doing the pounding. The ceremony starts at the moment you choose your herbs, and the manual preparation of it is an integral part of it. Usually, fresh or concentrated lemonjuice is added to the water to slightly increase the PH to about 4,5. This aids the absorbtion of the caapi alkaloids into the water. The pH of the brew can be read using Litmus paper (Ph indicators). Use/Preparation Shamans, as the tribes medicine men are sometimes called, take the ayahuasca, natem, or pinde, which ever name their tribe uses, for religious and spiritual reasons and healing purposes. The shamans "drink hallucinogenic beverages to communicate with the spirit world, diagnose illnesses, determine guilt, and see the future" (Bennett 1992). Synergic Combinations -MAO-inhibitors potentiate the effects of tryptamines. -Ascorbic acid (vitamin c) doesn't change the intensity of the experience, but it alters its quality: it increases concentration and decreases paranoid thinking. The user will also be less tired at the end of the experience. - Caffeine in combination with MAOI can cause hyperreactivity and suspiciousness - Tricyclic-antidepressants and a-typical neuroleptica that act as antagonists on the receptor subtype 5-HT2A (risperidon) antagonize the effects. - Alkaloids of the tropane-type (atropine, scopolamine) alter and intensify the psychological effects of the harmala alkaloids. Health Warnings Historically a strict dietary regimen of no salt, sugar, oil, fat, sex, or alcohol, is observed before any Ayahuasca ceremony. While none of these but perhaps alcohol is actually dangerous in conjunction with the brew, it is said they color the experience heavily. However, the biggest physical danger in ingesting Ayahuasca is related to the effects of an MAO Inhibitor found in the brew. Tyramine is an amino acid, which is normally metabolized by MAO in the gut. After taking certain Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors this MAO is inhibited and any dietary Tyramine will not be metabolized. This may cause an increase in tyramine levels in the blood. Because high blood levels of tyramine can affect naturally occurring norepinephrine, this condition could lead to a hypertensive crisis. In a hypertensive crisis, blood pressure may exceed 180 and the heart rate increases to well over 100 beats per minute. People who suffer hypertensive crisis typically report the most painful headache of their lives. A hypertensive crisis can lead to hemorrhagic stroke, myocardial infarction; rupture of a pre-existing aneurysm, and to death. Tyramine is found in cheese, wines, and generally, anything aged or fermented. Also, Symptathomimetic drugs (MDMA, amphetamines, migraine medicines, and over the counter cold medicines like ephedrine, dextromethorphan, etc) can cause a hypertensive crisis. Lastly certain natural herbs can have reactions, Ephedra sp., Yohimbe, and maybe even St Johns wort. Foods High in Tyramine (to be avoided) -All aged/mature cheese (exception: cottage cheese, cream cheese) -Dry and fermented sausage (bologna, salami, pepperoni, corned beef, and liver) -Pickled herring and salted dried fish -Broad beans and pods (lima, fava beans, lentils, snow peas, and soy beans) -Meat extracts -Yeast extracts/brewer's yeast -Beer and Ale -Red wine (chianti, burgundy, sherry, vermouth) -Sauerkraut -Banana Peel Foods Moderate to Low in Tyramine (to be used in limited amounts, i.e., 1/2 cup, 4 oz. or less) -Fruits (bananas, avocados, canned figs, raisins, red plums, raspberries) -Cultured dairy products (buttermilk, yogurt, and sour cream) -Chocolate -Caffeine (coffee, tea, and cola drinks) -White wine, port wines -Distilled Spirits -Soy sauce -Peanuts Erowid MAOI Vault References To start learning about the use of Ayahuasca, the brew made with the sacred vine Banisteriopsis Caapi, you really need to visit Ayahuasca Home Page and check out their FAQ's at http://ayahuasca.com/cgi-bin/faq.pl and The New Ayahuasca Home Page. | Please don't think poorly of Shuglin until you know the whole story, NegativeZer0. I have owned both books PIHKAL and TIHKAL for years and I treat them as biochem bibles. Shuglin did what he had to do and what he did was make HUGE advancements for all of us researchers in consciousness. If anyone wants detailed instructions on how to synthesis any of the above Chems then check out PIHKAL page 567 is 2c-t-7 and page 557 is 2c-t-2. As for 5-HO-DMT stay away this chem it can have huge cardio effects, rapidly raising blood pressure and pulse and none of the goodies. Many of the coolest chems out there like 2c-b are from Shuglin's brain . (Message edited by real_psily on May 11, 2004) |
