Kratom Tea

Just tried boiling 4 grams of Thai Kratom from BBB in 2 1/2 cups of water and some lemon juice. Used too much water for sure. Practically had to chug the vile crap.

It has been about 15 minutes since drinking this concoction. Feeling a slightly stoned effect coming on. Should I have tried it differently?

PS.
The leaves were strained out of the mix. Should I have left them in?

when i drank mine i drank it all. I'm not saying that was the right way to do it. But be patient with it. I find it comes on slowly. Too much is a bad thing.

Approximately an hour has gone by, and so far I like what I feel. Next time I will definitely up the dosage and try a better method.

The alkaloids are very stable, so fresh leaves are not available outside the tropics..Havn't read anywhere, that would indicate fresh leaves are superior..

There is a real art to making a tasty Kratom brew..
Mine takes 2 days to prepare, so i make it by the gallon...Heh.

I think tea.
I haven't tried any other way, but honestly i couldn't imagine a better method. I stirred 6 grams of 15x powdered extract into a cup of water and I actually liked the taste and smell. The effects were extremely pleasant. Within a half hour, as i recall, I felt just as if I has ingested some percocet.

Yeah,,If you consume the entire powder along with the tea then nothing is wasted..
If however, your working with standard plain powdered or crushed leaf [least expensive] then it becomes much more grusome to ingest it all...

So by making a tea ,who's purpose is, to seperate the goodies from the pulp.
Then it becomes alot more tolerable...

Kratom contains a variety of Alkaloids and they are not all extracted that well in plain water...

I have excellent results using apple juice,water and ascorbic acid which drops the PH below 4.0 ..This greatly speeds the proccess + helps with preservation..

With Crushed leaf the brew should steep for 36 hours ..I don't keep a flame on it the whole time though -just bring to a boil then turn off and repeat occasionally maybe every 6 -12 hours..
Filtering off the liquid is easy with crushed leaf but the powdered K is best left to settle out b4 pouring off the liquid..Then just strain the remainder thru a cloth which can be wrung out..

Powdered K can be extracted in just an hour of steeping but filtering is more hassel...Taste is best when served cold imo..

The apple tea is not so bitter as to be unpleasant..downing a halfpint is no problem...
