Been gone for almost 2 years after BAD Trip!

Hey, I haven't posted here for almost 2 years now. Well... One thing that I discovered is that when you grow your own mushrooms that you can have all that you want for almost no cost. That was a major problem!

I started out a night around Christmas time with a modest 10g of dried Tazmanian Shrooms. After about 1.5 hours I was tripping so hard that I really lost touch with reality and really had no judgment making ability. I went to my stash place and grabbed my gallon sized ziplock baggy full of shrooms and just started munching.

After about 1 more hour I was tripping so hard that reality basically just faded away and I think I was so gone that I really couldn't even say that I was in my own world... I just couldn't fathum where I was. And in an instant the trip went REALLY BAD! My wife came down stairs (about 3 in the morning) when she heard a commotion that I was making due to the Bad Trip. She tried to talk me through the trip the best that she could. If she was not there, then with out a doubt I would have killed myself. I was temporarily drug induced insane. That is the best way I could describe it.

Well, without getting in to any more boring details... the next day we measured the gallon baggy so that we could figure out how much I ate. We subtracted the grams of what was left from what was in the bag before I endulged. The total grams that I ended up eating was 34 grams of dried shrooms. Well... I guess I proved that you can't truely Overdose on shrooms!

Anyway, that was the worst experience of my entire life! I gave all of my shrooms to a friend and threw away all of my grow and equipment. It is now comming up towards 2 years later and I haven't touched another shroom. Not only that, but I still have what I would call "occasional flashbacks" almost 2 years later. And these flashbacks are minor versions of that exact same bad trip. I have not thought the same since that trip. My thoughts are now very scrambled and lean towards morbid with concentration on my own mortality.

So, the jist of this is to say that I wish I never tripped on shrooms because of how bad the bad experience was. I don't have any problems with anyone experiencing the joys of the magic mushroom. I hope everyone can enjoy them responsibly instead of loosing control like I did. I wish everyone the best.

i'm glad you managed to avoid ultimate tragedy that night.
a psychotic episode can be frightening for everyone involved.
i have seen otherwise stable people 'check out' on even mild doses.
careful tending of the mind is essential,
and respect for the power of the medicine.
i'm sorry to hear you regret ever shrooming,
i hope that in time you can heal from the experience.

I have to question your mind prior to eating 34 dry grams of shrooms. I think its safe to say you had a problem, before you took those shrooms.

What plans do you have in the near future ?

I'd say you overdosed. You don't have to die to overdose.
34 grams is crazy!

No doubt your "mortal" body was traumatized by such a dose. Not uncommon for traumatic experiences to come back and haunt you. Its good to hear you still have some kind of grip on reality!
I think you're stronger from the experience, in the sense that you learned a valuable lesson.

I wish you the happiest of thoughts in the future.

To quickly answer the question that was stated again in another post... No I am not currently using any other drug(s). I smoked a small amount of weed about 1 month ago and I have a beer about every other night.

Why am I back?... Well before I left I was working on my own Tech for growing mushrooms. I discussed it here but most did not think that it would work. Well, as you can probably tell from my original post... it worked pretty darn well!

My tech was using the laundry basket method with hay spawned with rye berries. The laundry basket method was chosen due to the requirement for increased ventilation due to an EXTREMELY high mold count in the area that I was growing in. The grow was kept constantly moist using an ultrasonic fogger that I purchased off of ebay. This was extremely easy and extremely productive. This also solved the mold problem that I had with almost every other grow.

Anyway... I am feeling that I would like to clarify and refine my tech in progress even though I will not eat any of the product myself. I will probably just share the wealth of my garden with a few friends.

I thought it was a little bit strange that an old member logged in again.. reports an trip report,that has made him stop eating shrooms,...I just thought ..''what's the reasons behind this ?''.
