| hmm... suspect peruvian torch kicks ass and takes names. well. obstinately, a foaf, read a bunch of posts about dosage concerning peruvian torch. Well, evidently he misread the posts. He decide to do a rush through extraction of the particular alkaloids contained in the cactus. He did a hasty water ecatraction of 120 dry grams of peruvian torch incense from our semi-friend in peru. He poured 120 grams of dried "flour" into a pressure cooker and began to boil... he suddenly realized that alkaloids in plants are usually basic and squirted several streams of citric acid (via "rea**emon) into the boiling pot to convert the base into the (i assume) citrate salt.. any-way after about 3 hours of boiling, foaf poured the remaing solution into a measuring cup.. it read 16 oz. . Being the kind of guy he was, he split the 16 oz. and drank 8 oz. over a 1 hour period.... Anyway, sh*t gets weird very soon. This guy is a very experienced psychonaut. this extraction felt more active than 30 hits of mediocre LSD ( so he says).. shit got weird. Hunter S. Thompson type weird. Cats and dogs living together... Armageddon type weird. My question is: (probably suited to a better thread) after you have isolated the salts into the water... I've got a super salt solution in water...no defatting. could I basify this H2O-cactus crap via NaOH and salt it afterwards? or would it leave some weird salts? Sodium Citrate? Iv'e got a bunch of MESC. salts in water solution + cactus gak. should I aromatic solvent it first ( to de-slime it?) or go ahead and basify it and salt it? |
