tripping during t-storms

well, i finally have the opportunity to trip tonight. received 2.6 grams from a FOAF of PES Hawaiian strain. picked up some incense, scattered my rock collection across my window sill, and lit a couple candles. i'm all set, and ready to go. one thing though, there are gonna be severe thunderstorms in my area tonight..is tripping during a t-storm a bad idea? seems like it could be either really fascinating or really frightening experience..input? i will be indoors, but i don't know if i'll be able to stay away from the window..

its never botherd me in the past. but id not want to be tripping if they say severe storms coming. just so if u got to take cover ur not all fucked up on ur back porch lookn at shit lol.

i don't think it'll come to that point..i live in a highly populated area, with lots of buildings..nature dosent get too ruthless w/the winds round here. worst case scenario, i'll hear it..but that's what headphones are for!

bawx, t-storms don't necessarily "freak me out" but i do find the immense power of nature somewhat frightening. more awe-inspiring than scary, though. i guess you would say i enjoy them.

I have been wanting to try a lightning storm ever since we had a bad storm the other day. Trippin in the rain was one of the most fun times I have ever had trippin.

T-storms are one of the best sets for trippin IMO...I like to stand right out in the middle of the yard ..in the rain and thunder/lighting. There is some danger but the likely hood of getting struck by lightning is pretty minute. If the storm is really close and the thunder crashes really close it is pretty awesome to behold.

I enjoy shit like that though..If one fears lightning and thunder in the first place I wouldn't recommend it.

I've got about 6.5g i've been saving to do by myself. There are supposed to be sever t-storms by me too and this sounds like a fabulous idea! Turn off all the lights, open the windows, light a couple candles, put on some nice ambient music and let nature do her thing.

I might even go up north and go camping out in the woods, though that may be pushing it a little :-p

Years ago, SWIM dropped 'cid during a hurricane. (It was a catagory 2 and didn't hit directly. SWIM not dumb enough to do it with a biggun iutside)It was one of the best trips he ever had. The sound of the wind outside was insane! SWIM felt like he was the storm!

Never done it with mushies though but sounds like a good time. Hope you had an enjoyable experience!!

But, man, I can't think of much better that gettin' nekkid in a t'storm or hurricane and running around outside.

Hell no it aint a bad idea! There ain't no better time to trip than that. PESH is my favorite strain. The best place I would say to be on a trip in a thunderstorm is in a big open air gazeabo so a little mist can blow in. A few colored lights around are good too.

I have only trippin in rain storms but my favorite was the time when it was raining lightly, almost like a really thick mist. I hadn't checked the weather ahead of time and it was a great surprise.
I took a walk around my apt complex and felt like I had never been more alive. I could feel nature and I remember thinking to myself, "Geez I am so lucky."
Lucky I guess for the experience and the fact that I knew I would be able to do this again because of the knowledge from here.
Can't wait for it to rain again.

The t-storm missed us!! But, the trip was still awesome

I put on some Buddhist Monk chants, and laid down on my bed. There were moments when I actually felt as if I had departed from my body! I was no longer a physical being. I was immersed in the infinite depths of my mind, the collective human unconscious. I distinctly remember touching my face, and getting the sensation it didn't belong to me. It felt as though I was touching someone else's face. The curvature of my jawline and facial features felt completely unfamiliar to me. Alien. Far away. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but it was amazing.

After peaking, I went outside and layed on the ground, staring up towards atmosphere. It never did storm but I did have some nice visuals, compliments of the wispy clouds through out the night sky. They pulsated, and seemingly began to melt if I focused hard enough. Not bad for 2.6 grams. It was a most spiritual experience!!

Glad to hear that you had such a great trip! The last time I took mushrooms it was during a severe thunderstorm on a thin peninsula in a Great Lake while tent camping. It was an extremely intense trip, and for some reason the complete chaos caused by the wind, lightning, and rain caused us to let go completely. It was as though we realized that compared to all this we really don't have a say in what happens, so we'd might as well let it happen. I'll post the report soon, I've got it on my computer.
