I read somewhere that the human brain is unable to comprehend how big these things actually are.... i try to comprehend it... and think i got it comprehended sometimes.... but..... pffff.... this puts things into sobering perspective for me.. it could almos bring a tear. lol ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() mann.. ![]()

i love posts like this. look at the 2nd to last picture, it's a perfect example of how time is relative to the viewer. can you imagine trying to understand such things prior to the understanding of relativity? it was all just an oversimplified paradox like how our physics runs into a paradox explaining the size of that large galaxy. not that our math and physics generally speaking is incorrect, just incomplete. we have a long way to go huh mind blowing fun |

Those pictures have been taken by the Hubble Telescope in 1995. The survey is named Deep Field and Ultra Deep Field. Imagine all the light that comes toward the earth. We zoom in it in order to obtain such pictures. That picture is the result of the size of a sand grain compared to the huge 'paint' that's all around the earth. There would be billions of these pictures if we would be to zoom everywhere. Here's a nice little video with information and amazing animations. (how to you include a video in posts?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c64Aia4XE1Y Once I was with a friend smoking one. Looking up the stars is something my eyes do often This night while watching one star in particular I saw its whole I saw all the planets around it for a brief moment Im still experiencing my deep third eye so sometimes logic kicks in and removes such things was truly amazing to be able to witness it from within I was starting to see on the planets when I 'came back' Some other time, for sure now the light pollution in the city covers it this summer though, we'll meet again |

Kewl stuff..So if the further we see, means the further back in time we're witnessing, then with a real good scope we should be able to see right down the "big bang hole" right..? And no matter which direction we point that scope - it still sees the same bigbanghole..?? Or is my reasoning screwed up.. Now that i think about it , i guess the bang occurred a little before the furthest time we can see because we didn't arrive here faster than light speed.. Just talkin to myself...doooh.. Ok my real question is, If u point two scopes in opposite directions and look as far back in time as possible, are those two distant points actually quite close together..? Or is there only one direction you can look to see the very earliest stage of the Universe..? |

The Hubble Ultra Deep Field pictures takes its light from 13,5 billions. Back then, the Universe (It's all theories..) was only 800 millions years old. When the Universe was younger, there was as much energy there is now. (see the video in my previous post, there's a wicked animation near the end that explains this well.) There was much less stars though. So they were HUGE. HUGE ENERMOUS stars. The average temperature was 10 000 Celcius. It was hot everywhere...no cold at all. although there was a 'cooling' occuring. ![]() Here's a picture I love to watch A collision between 2 galaxies stuck in our time frame. Stars hanging in between. I wonder to which the Ones in the middle galaxy think they belong ![]() Imagine... Galaxies spirals around eachother...they bounce into eachother many many times until they finally become one, one bigger galaxy. We're about to collide with Andromeda.. Also we're hmm eating much smaller galaxies that orbits around us. We are one big galaxy. I call it the Cosmic Dance. Nature is just wonderful from everywhere.. Here's a another amazing picture ![]() That's a picture of accumulated data on the galaxies around us.. the bright spots means ten thousands of galaxies clusters. cool patterns. ![]() Stars hangs in clusters. ![]() One big family. Star clusters have many different patterns I happen to like globular ones So this means the ten thousands closest brothers and sisters of our beloved sun are the same age. Same age means there's are a lot of them which have the same parameters as our sun. They've found planets (We can locate them, but we cannot look at them in colors -yet-(http://www.jwst.nasa.gov/) In not so many years we'll be able to literally look at them. What if blue and green appears in the scope.. I hope that planets size are relative to the Sun's size. I was thinking the other night what if with big HUGE stars such as VV Cephei there is planets orbiting it...planets bigger than our sun. Which can support life.. Even though these intelligent lifeforms would like to visit us they'd need a shrinker or something, their spaceships would be as big as earth and create such a big gravitational pull it would screw everything in our solar system here's a nice video of actual footage of our Sun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQyp9y_9s10 these are huge electromagnetic waves of ten thousands of kilometers/miles.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() One huge abnormal flare would be able to cease all wireless communication systems.. why not here's an interpretation of the Solar Wind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naaeDJLcxgs&feature=related All objcts of signifiant size takes part of this huge paint that is our Solar System Solar Wind. It interacts with every objects. All of them have different kinds of influences on all the other objects btw how do I include a video in this forum. makes it more interesting to just click on the play triangle with a preview picture thanks <3 the sky |

Awesome thread man ![]() Like others have said- it's crazy to think when we are looking at the stars, planets, other galaxies, etc we are looking at them in the distant past since it takes so long for their light to reach our eyes. So in "present time" they would look totally different or not their at all, but when you're thinking about the universe- what is "present time"? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | LOL. Figure that one out and you win the prize. Been studying that one in my own mind for a while now and have come to un-conclusive results. ![]() *edit: What is time? I understand what an hour is but what is it really other than seconds. Time is not time at all. We just age and die. Kinda like everything else.

Closer to home, our Voyager 2 space craft will be half way to the star Sirius in just 300,000 more years.. Sirius is the focal point for the ancient Egyptian religion ,who's carvings picture the winged gods and their flying machines.. I guess they must'a had warp drive to cover the 8 light year distance... |
