![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Nine Moons
My life seems crazy right now. I got married a year ago, just purchased my first home (woot!), am currently working three jobs, while trying to keep up with my favorite hobbies in between. A couple years back I did some deep voyaging via strong doses of wavy caps and syrian rue; multiple times I was put into that familiar fetal position where ego dissolved and I rocketed through the dark tunnel of space and time, with colorful geometric patterns bursting around me. As terrifying and rewarding as pushing the "reset" button is, for me the psychedelic experience is all about gaining insight into one's own character. I believe the best thing any of us can do for the world is to make ourselves better people.Inspired by my fellow Topians journeys and reports, I've decided to kick it up a notch in my personal voyage. I'm really itching to try spice, but first want to make an ayahuasca brew. I plan to try cactus for my first time, and if I can muster up the courage take a heavy amanita trip too. Call me crazy, but I hope/plan to trip on or around every full moon for the remainder of this calender year. There's Nine Moons to go, starting tomorrow and culminating on New Years Eve. Wish me luck and send me love Topiates! ![]() Saturday, May 9th - Mushrooms Sunday, June 7th - Cactus Tuesday, July 7th - Ayahuasca Thursday, August 6th - Mushrooms Friday, September 4th - Salvia Sunday, October 4th - DMT Monday, November 2nd - Mushrooms Wednesday, December 2nd - Amanita Thursday, December 31st - Ayahuasca ^^^ That's the plan at least. Dosages to be determined, I'll be posting some prep questions and pics, nine reports to follow. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Much love to you all.

Damn seeker, that's an impressive line-up. Not too aggressive either. I like to trip once a month myself. Have a save voyage tomorrow. I will be driving while you're tripping so I'll have plenty of time to think of you and send some positive energy your way.

Awesome map to follow. The wife and myself had an unbelievable trip on Golden teachers Sunday. We both ate 13g's! It hit us in 15 minutes. Talking about colors chasing colors holy shit@! I ended up stepping outside for a few and had a conversation with nature. Have you ever heard what a tree has to say? I learned to never leave your partner alone on that kind of dose! Found her balled up in the fetal position on the bed with a terrified look on her face! Poor thing. Hey seek put out some knowledge of your trips on those dates.

Hats off to you for even having the guts to ingest that much, that must have been one hell of a time. Can you share anything that you and your wife took away from the experience?Quote:
Funny you mentioned the tree, Nodnarb, I made a special connection with one on my very first trip. Probably not on your level tho, and dude I'm just glad the ufos didn't take you away on that dose. j/k

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | For sure, classic ego death experiences for me. Interesting to hear that LSD gives a very similar effect for you. I hope to try acid someday. I know it's not the same, but I really enjoyed the electric times I've spent with HBW seeds. ![]() A quick story about the black ego death tunnel.. on most occasions I've exploded forward through the tunnel at a tremendous pace, but the last time I found myself in that space I radiated/pulsed backwards (to my body). I had taken Golden Teachers with my wife, and was stuck in quite a painfully thought of my grandfather, whom I love very much and had recently been diagnosed with alzheimers. Well anyways, I had told some stories about going fishing and spending times in the woods with my gramps, childhood stories, and I cried and closed my eyes. Although my grandfather is still alive and I see him regularly, I dealt with his death that night. When I was able to "let it go", tears rushed and the universe rained love on me. With my eyes closed I had the most exquisite ride, slowly back, pulsing and coherent to my body. It's very hard for me to articulate that experience, but it was just so damn lovely. We do like the GTs. ![]() Quote:

[QUOTE=shroom_seeker;706008 Can you share anything that you and your wife took away from the experience? [/QUOTE] To be honest seek there wasn't much talking. The only conversation I remember was "I think we ate too much!" I did see colors chasing other colors around showing me how they mix. I really enjoy the hell out of the Mood Doculators. Thanks for the free music player, I am going to get a cd soon. I went on a kind of time journey, which was great. I was in a total trance with surges of energy. Wifey said I was non responsive to her for awhile. I was flying thru horizons seein man and other things evolving growing and the crumbling. Ended up staring at a place with sand, not a desert or beach, just a "wasteland" We also had a little one wake up and we had to tend to him. Kids are amazingly intense and he really touched my heart observing him.

My experiences to this point with amanitas have been low doses (2-4 grams) of the red-topped mushroom, Amanita muscaria. At those levels I've experienced euphoria, a drunken/buzzed feeling, sweating, dissociation, blurring of vision, and the alice and wonderland effect of seeing objects in front of me much larger than they really are. I've yet to take the plunge into a heavy amanita dose, which might be somewhere in the range of 5-10 grams(or more), although I'm really no expert on them. Not too long ago a friend roasted fresh a.muscaria var. formosa over a fire before consuming, ate them and fell asleep, and reported to have the strangest dreams of his life. To me the amanita seems more masculine and much less forgiving then psilocybin mushrooms.. proceed with caution if you try them. I know of a couple folks that have formed a strong alliance with the amanitas.

This is what I have planned for tomorrow: ![]() I've developed some sensitivity to cubes, it only takes 2-3 grams to get me off, so these 5 dried grams of texans should knock me into hyperspace. ![]() It's my first time taking this large of a dose, so wish me luck and keep the good vibes coming!

the reason I haven't been really enthused about trying amanitas is the possibility of OD, I understand the want/need to try different things but I guess Ive steered clear of those because of that. wikipedia snippet follows. Anyone had fun with amanitas? Toxicity Amanita muscaria contains a number of biologically active agents, at least two of which, muscimol and ibotenic acid, are known to be psychoactive. A toxic dose in adults is approximately 6 mg muscimol or 30 to 60 mg ibotenic acid,[56][57] this is typically about the amount found in one cap of Amanita muscaria.[58] However, the amount and ratio of chemical compounds per mushroom varies widely from region to region and season to season, which further confuses the issue. Spring and summer mushrooms have been reported to contain up to 10 times as much ibotenic acid and muscimol compared to autumn fruitings. |

I don't know, there are a lot of contradictions about the mushrooms toxicity within that same wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanita_muscaria Although generally considered poisonous, deaths are extremely rare, and it has been consumed as a food in parts of Europe, Asia, and North America after parboiling in plentiful water. However, Amanita muscaria is now primarily famed for its hallucinogenic properties with its main psychoactive constituent being the compound muscimol. It was used as an intoxicant and entheogen by the peoples of Siberia and has a religious significance in these cultures. Because chemical content can vary greatly from one mushroom to another, it's been recommended that one powder and mix the mushrooms for a most uniform experience. Heating the mushroom in an oven, on a grill, or drying in a dehydrater is also recommended as it converts the chemicals in the mushroom, allowing your body to better process them. If you ever decide to give it a go, our sponsor BBB has a great selection of amanitas from around the world. Many of you know BuckarooBanzai, he is our house expert on amanita consumption and has some great thoughts on the subject: http://forums.mycotopia.net/192504-post59.htmlBuckaroo says, Most mushroom field guides qualify Amanita Muscaria as poisonous. Amanita Muscaria is NOT a poison in doses of less than a couple hundred grams – in 300+ years there is only one “suspected” death (a small child who ate quite a few of them) and one coma/death (but he ate over a hundred of them for dinner). If you start to fixate on the “poison shroom” myths, you WILL start to feel poisoned. JUST REMEMBER: going to the emergency room can turn a bad trip into a hellish one. Especially when the only thing they can do for you is shoot you up with sedatives and atropine (there is no treatment for acute Amanita poisoning more than 4 hours after ingestion and you won’t even get the atropine “come down” until they are CERTAIN what kind of mushroom you ate). As a final note on this “poison” myth please remember that acute Amanita poisoning doesn’t manifest for 12-16 hours (then it comes as nausea, vomiting and severe diarrhea). If you experience ANY of these symptoms the next day, see a doctor immediately as you may have eaten a toxic mushroom. SOME diarrhea is normal, especially if you drink alcohol with them. Severe/uncontrollable diarrhea should be evaluated by a medical professional immediately. Dehydration can kill you pretty quickly.

I put my mushrooms in the coffee grinder, then into a cup, added orange juice, stirred and swallowed. After that i laid down in bed and put on my dream mask to ensure total darkness. ~15 minutes into my trip i started feeling it, took my mask off because it was bugging me but continued to keep my eyes closed. I could feel energy and color building behind my eyelids.. the mushrooms hit me very quick and hard! I knew where this was going and was willing to succumb, it must have been ~20-25 minutes into my trip when I blacked out. I'm not sure how long i was out for and recall nothing but total darkness. I emerged from the other side with the most vivid vision i have ever experienced bursting into my consciousness and awakening me! I will share my vision with you - it was of a plant exploding out of a rock and growing like crazy, many patterns of colors spun and shot outward, the plant infused with mushroom energy and totally alive. It showed me that life indeed is a circle, extremely vital and living, and that nature works so beautifully together. I had never been shown anything like this on mushrooms before. The image flashed before my eyes and before i knew it I was back in my bed tripping. For a while i just laid there twisting and turning back and forth while scenes and people from my personal life played out before me. It wasn't easy, and i groaned and moaned while electric charges ran through my body making my legs spasm. But one thing helped me move through my trip which i feel was another gift from the mushroom.. you know that ommm sound that people use in meditation and chants, sounds like a didgeridoo? I came out of the darkness with that vibrating though myself and i worked with it through most of my trip. My chant has two parts, starting lower than moving higher, all the while vibrating from within, but somehow a part of everything. My trip was trancelike and i spent a good part making that sound/vibration, even playing with it at times to see how the energies changed. Thank you mushrooms. ![]() My wife took wonderful care of me last night. When I was cold and spaced out she put a sweater and socks on me. She brought me water and made sure i drank it. Several times throughout my trip i asked her to hold me, which helped center myself and get past some bad spells. Today i got to ask her what it was like sitting for me. She said i spent most of my time on the floor in the fetal position squirming, she could feel my energy radiating out when she was near, and i was cold-sweating profusely. My wife keeps it pretty real, and did tell me that at some points she was annoyed by my "humming" as she was trying to watch a tv show lol. Anyways, thank you so much for being with me last night! I love you! ![]() The five grams i took last night was the most i've ever taken, and the structure of my trip was different then those of past. There were no waves moving in and out after the peak, just one strong experience. It wasn't until ~2.5 hours into the trip when I was able to laugh knowing i had pulled it off - that's about when i logged in and wrote those two lines you see above. You guys have no idea how much that meant to me to read those messages last night - thank you so much! Knowing i have folks back here checking on me helped empower me to take that deep voyage into psychedelia. Thank you Hippie 3 for providing this space for me to share and connect with others - all the information provided, you truly rock my world! And thank you all so much for checking in and the good vibes!! ![]() My trip lasted 6 hours before i wandered back towards baseline. The was a great start for the Nine Moons, i feel very blessed for what i've been shown. I had no idea i'd feel this way, but i want to go bigger, maybe not next time, but definitely someday. Love and respect from this screen to yours. ![]() shroom_seeker

Does anybody know a good way to store a 12" cutting of Achuma cactus for a month or so ? I'm thinking the fridge might be a good option.

That was a great description SS!!!! And I know the "whoa I made it" feeling you are talking about. Sounds like an amazing trip. BTW did you catch the full moon that night. It was so beautiful here, as soon as I saw it, I told my friends that somewhere in the USA (or wherever) one of my friends is having an amazing experience. ** I always refer to all of topia as my friends** ![]() Showed them this thread, now I have plans for next month. Thanks for the idea SS, and keep this thread alive. I may have something to add for next month.

Maybe next month i am looking forward to doing bigger doses, but I plan on going up in half gram increments until I get there. Peace man.....and thatnks for getting this thing going. I'll be trippin with ya every full moon man, you can bet on it. We like to do full moon ceremony and drumming anyhow, so we will just go with it. Peace....

The cactus tea reduced quickly on the stove and i was left with a cup of dark green brew to drink. Potent and alkaline, i chased the tea with water while consuming over the course of 15 minutes or so. The cactus came on slow, at about an hour in i could feel the energy spreading through my body and knew i was tripping. It felt powerful, but along with the energy came an upset stomach. I sat down in my chair and did some deep breathing and meditation, which helped center myself and control the nausea. About 90 minutes in i decided to purge, and after a few minutes of hugging porcelain i felt much better. From there i stumbled back into my living room and it was game on. ![]() Wifey took me for a joy ride through the countryside, and the fresh air did me good. It was a pleasure cruising through the woods and rolling hills covered with green vegetation and animals abound. I couldn't help but notice the bright white light that permeated everything during my cactus trip - it was an overcast day but everything was lit up beautifully!! I felt so grateful to just be out there once more, alive with my loved one, breathing fresh air and so lucky to be alive. Thank you cactus. ![]() ~ 7 hours into my trip i woke up from a nap tripping balls. I stared at the patterns on my wall panels as they swished and moved back and forth, sorta like this -> ![]() ![]() lmao what a blast! After that a friend picked me up and we met up with another to have a sit-down which of course only got me higher. Afterwards my friend drove me home and i settled in for the night. My wife and i watched high fidelity on tv, and i gotta say man jack black cracks me up. After that i made a warm meal for us of rice and soup, my wife did some scrapbooking and i listened to the psychedelic salon, just having a chill evening together.I think the cactus brew is medicinal and this morning i woke up very refreshed. Wife and i made love, and afterwards i put on my running shoes and went for a jog, my first in years. I feel good, and grateful for another experience with the plant teachers. I hope to dance with the cactus again. Om shanti, JohnDoe, Oblivion, prism1234, Ras Asad, smokinjoe, oibchip, and everyone else out there sending me love thank you sooo much!!! Even a hard-head like me can feel those loving protective vibes and they are very much appreciated. i try to send 'em back too! Big thanks to all the cactus folk here on Topia whose knowledge i've read has helped me plan for this trip: rocketman, Myc, Irishlion, Shroomette, and mjshroomer just to name a few. ![]() Oh yeah and if any of you other moon walkers want to share your reports feel free to, even a link! I hope you had a good time yesterday Coopdog and Chip. ![]() Peace and love to you all. ![]() shroom_seeker

Oh good, I was hoping you fleshed out your report. I'm delighted you got a chance to be shoufered around. That was a pleasant experience fore me as well. The wind in your face really does the trick. I was thinking of you yesterday during a massive Catholic wedding of all places. The curch was the most impressive Ive ever seen. As I walked along the corridors, my vicodin pill vial would rattle and echo throughout the entire church, a truly comforting sound. I thought shroom seeker would enjoy this setting right about now I'll bet. I went outside and had a pipe to relax me during all the chanting that the Catholics tend to do (no offense to the catholics). Im' happy for you seeker!

While i'm still in a cactus state of mind, thought i might share some inspiring quotes i came across while researching peyote use among the Native American Church several years ago.. "Is Mescalito your ally?" "No! Mescalito is another kind of power. A unique power! A protector, a teacher." "What makes Mescalito different from an ally?" "He can't be tamed and used as an ally is tamed and used. Mescalito is outside oneself. He chooses to show himself in many forms to whoever stands in front of him, regardless of whether the person is a brujo or a farm boy." Don Juan spoke with deep fervor about Mescalito's being the teacher of the proper way to live. - from the Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge "I am a Hochunk or Winnebago, and the Native American Church has been the center of my adult life. Everything we do in our Church is to honor the Creator and find our place in his creation. We try to respect and honor our families and friends; we try to have compassion for our fellow men, for that's what our Creator tells us to do. This attitude comes to us through a sacred herb, one that is more sacred because it is, in fact, divine. We call it Peyote, but more often, because of what it does for us, we call it our Medicine. It is the most powerful of all the plants, because God endowed it with his love and compassion. He put those qualities into this lowly herb so that when we eat it we can feel the love that God is - I emphasize the love that God is, not that God has - is physically inside us. From there it overflows in compassion for human beings and all other kinds of creatures. It enables us to treat one another tenderly, and with joy, love, and respect." - Reuben Snake "That night I realized that in all the years that I had lived on earth I had never known anything holy. Now, for the first time, I knew something holy." - John Rave, Winnebago, after his first Peyote meeting "Sometimes I am sitting here at home all alone, but I am not alone. I have my drum, water, and a gourd. I sing songs of my church and my worries are gone. I feel good again, and refreshed. Peyote is not like a narcotic. When you eat it, your mind turns to the Great Spirit." - Bernard Ice, a blind Oglala Lakota "This peyote has done me a world of good. It put me on the right road. It has caused me to put aside all intoxicating liquor. I now have no desire for whiskey, beer, or any strong drink. I have no desire for tobacco. If I keep on using this peyote, I'm going to be an upright man toward God." - a Menomini "If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty." - Jesus, according to the Gospel of Thomas

The ayahuasca brew has begun, i am following the process described for Caapi and Chacruna on this page: http://forums.mycotopia.net/ayahuasc...eparation.html (Ayahuasca.com FAQ on Preparation) In a large pot on stove i have added ~2 liters of distilled water, 114 grams of powdered Caapi vine, 56 grams of Chacruna leaf, and 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar. I warm the brew to the point of steam without boiling or bubbles, and each 'wash' on the stove runs ~2 hours. During the brewing process i stir often and quietly communicate my intent to the plants. At the 2 hour mark i am left with a small amount of liquid and the plant material which is filtered through cheese cloth and poured into a crock pot. The crock is set on low and will serve as a retaining vessel for my multiple washes. I will repeat my washes throughout the course of the day, until my brew pours clear into the crock or dark falls. For each wash i add another 2 liters of water and tablespoon of vinegar to the plant material. I plan to consume very late tonight or first thing in the morning. Still accepting all the good vibes i can get.
