Bonnaroo '09 Trip Reports

I'll try to keep this as short as possible and just about the trips, but I went to Bonnaroo with my wife and like 15 other friends. We all had a great time, took a lot of new drugs, and lived through it!
So the first trip was 2 grams of Shrooms & a hit of molly. The Molly amped up the shrooms and I laid on the ground listening to Beastie Boys and Phish while watching all the beautiful colors and shapes. It didn't last as long as usual though.
The second trip was after a guy offered us DMT, I let all my friends try it first then I took a hit. I took twice as much as anyone, one of the members of our crew turned on some techno & I took 3 huge hits and after letting out the 3rd hit I was instant moved very deep where I could see red colors and shapes flying very fast and very intense, I felt like I fell so deep and got so caught up in this that when I realized that and came to I nearly paniced and thought I had died. I rose up because I thought there were people around me trying to get me to come out of it and breathe again. Took deep breathes, drank water and i tried to look around but it was like everywhere I looked was a mirror of recent past events. Like I would turn to look at my friend and he was still trying to get me to take the 3rd hit. I stumbled out of the van and sat down till it wore off.
Last, I finally got a hold of some acid for the first time.. After wasting money on fake shit, we got tired of looking so we just started buying doses and downing them till we found some good stuff. I ended up sitting on the ground in the middle of a standing crowd at a Snoog Dogg concert rolling blunts while my friend was selling them when I fell into a trip. I was hearing people say things around me that I knew I couldn't have heard.. By then we started to realize that something we took started to work. As the trip progressed I started to feel werid and disconnected from everyone, my hearing was muffled and everyone seemed to be apart from me. When I would look into my wife's face, who was already tripping pretty hard I would get a chill and feel the effects a lot harder, it was strange like her face was a portal to where I was headed. Everytime I turned around I felt like I was getting lost. After the concert we walked through the crowd which almost felt like walking through a bunch of paused people and we were the only ones moving. After the walk the effects started to fade away. Great time but acid tricked me and I didn't like that, I also didn't like that it felt a lot like the intense DMT trip I took the day before whicn I did not want to experience very long.
I want to say one more thing about the acid, while I was sitting on the ground I noticed a girl sitting close to us, but she wasn't near anyone else. She didn't look happy so I thought about talking to her then I noticed she was starring at my friend rolling a blunt out the corner of her eye and looked very mad. I started to get scared and I didn't know how to act anymore so I asked my friend what was up with her and I swear he told me to not look so uncomfortable and that the girl was faking acid to fuck w/ me. Later after the trip I ask my friend about her again and he tells me he thought she was as fucked up as us and didn't remember telling me she was faking. We eventually stood up and she joined some man in the crowd then left... very strange and I'm still not sure what happened exactly..

Hahaha, don't worry, she was definitely fucked up...in fact, they all were.

Was this the first time around the Bonnaroo block for you?
It's a wacky little party eh? That's cool you had such a big group,
that really makes all the difference in the comfort realm out there.

It is interesting to me that you spoke about the past replaying itself,
I have been having similar experiences in similar circumstances.
Did you feel like you stepped ahead of what was happening and watched it
play out again?

Festivals bring out some of the weirdest vibes and happenings I have ever
experienced. I don't always know what to make of things. The weekends
seem to have their own ebb and flow of growing up, learning something new,
remembering what you knew in the past, and clarifying the path ahead.

I hope you had a good time, the weirdness never ends at those things,
and you seem a little on the fence of whether you liked it or it was too
strange. It is always a little too strange, but that's why I like it!

Yes, first time in Bonnaroo, First time on DMT, Acid, Molly, Hash, Opium, coke, & lots of new chronic strains.
I didn't stay for the last phish show, I watch Snoop Dogg, kinda, and went back to camp, packed up and left before the crowd started to leave. The acid hit us after Snoop started, lasted for the walk back to camp, then it was over for the most part before we left around 12.

I was there and OMG!! those phish shows were steller. that may have been the 2 best shows I have seen.

It was that or the MDMA I found. White right facing ducks and white/blue raised pistols.

I got a new drum, a fatty inside out bubbler and a recording of a guy named Zach Deputy... the guy is fucking unreal...

this years bonnaroo was the best one ever!! great music, great weather, great vibe, great time!! even the john's were pretty good until sunday when they dropped the ball and let'em pile up till over flowing...

i made up 48 oz of mushy honey for me and my 5 friends.(that ='s 4, 12oz honey bears each one containing 28g's of mush extract!) i walked around all weekend dosing up random people with huge puddles of honey in their hands.

needless to say we had a great time!!

Wow, all I can say is,
Bruce and Phish,
never in a million years would have thought that might happen!
It wasn't the greatest or tightest but I still enjoyed every moment.
If anyone wants Phish .flac soundboards I have the whole 2009 tour including Hampton, pm me and we can work out a trade or I can give an address to send blank cds and return postage too. I can burn them and send them back...
