Break through on DMT, 1st time (2nd report)

Well after my previous report this report is going to sound nuts but I will try to explain. Sorry if it' a bit long and sorry in advanced for my grammer, spelling and any sentences out of place.

As my first experience with DMT was quite enjoyable but left me feeling what all the fuss was about I decided tonight when I got home from work and my girlfriend has gone out for the night I would try DMT again but a little higher dose. I waited until dark then lit some candals, lite some Nag Champa incense stick and some copal, turned all the lights out and settled down with my home made vaporizer. From my last experience I still had some residue left in the "chamber" so I just added a little pinch and began to smoke away. I had the same situation as last time where I could not get to the level I have been reading about in trip report. No matter how much vapor I was sucking back I was only getting slight visaul distortion and feeling "high". After 20 mintutes of heating my vaporizer and smoking I laid back on the sofa and began to just chill and relax. I was getting the same effect like last time, my body and mind felt like it was being pulled some where and was feeling the "body/mind vibration". It soon passed and I felt like I had never even smoked anything within 5 minutes, very disappointed so I switch on all the lights and thought I would try abain in 1 hour.

1 hours later ....

Lite some copal again to clear the air and lite a stick of Nag Champa. Swithed of all the lights after lighting some candals and decided as I could be sitting and smoking for some time I decided to put some DJ Shadow on, this song in fact:

Putting this exact track on just as I started to smaoke made made the next 10 minute more surreal and absolutly unbelievable as this track suited what was going to happen to me in the following 10 minutes.

Hard to say how much DMT I loaded but it was generous. flammed the vaporizer until vapor appeared and took my first deep lungful think to myself I would have to take a few more but after breathing in deep I felt very strange simular to my previous attempt but the rush at the beginning got more and more intense and within seconds I was officually LAUNCHED.

I tried to hang on to reality for a few moments thinking hang on I'm not ready to the point I was hanging on with my finger nails but it was no use something had transpoted me to another place beyond words. The first moments and time did not exist at this point but I remember phasing in and out of reality. DMT was kind to me as it was letting me phase into reality to remind me that I was still alive and still "being" but when I was in my reality for a moment or two I had no idea who I was, where I was or what I had just smoked, I tried my hardes to remember what I had just smoked to no avail, then suddenly I was whoooshed back of to "another place". It actually felt like a out of body experience but no more so than a vivid dream and that is what it felt like to me and VERY VERY powerful dream. I remember that I kept trying to climb out of the whole experience, trying my best to get back to reality put within a few moment I was pulled right back into the the only thing that is the DMT trip, but again, even though I was trying to get back to reality I felt no threat or fear at all and had a smilele on my face the whole experience.

I will not even try to explain what I saw as no matter what I type words will not even slightly give any hint to the thing I saw.

Even though I was trying to cling to reality at first and trying to remember what just happened, I did not feel threatened or scared at all but overwelmed with absolute awe and awe is the only word to discribe the experience.

The track I was listening too was very audible during the whole experince and seemed to be comforting me while I was "away" and I still cannot believe how it suited my trip, perfect

I came round back to reality and said outloud "Whooo... What the fuck"

I am sure I have missed some bits out that were very important to me but I'm sure you have read enough and I am still awe stricken to type any more.

Nice report! I love how many people here always seem to be experiencing the power and beauty of DMT for the first time. Including me, I think I've read at least 5 first times or first breakthoughs in the last month.

That's why I said to keep going!
I was the same way. Thought one hit was supposed to do it or whatever. I'd get the vibration and some visuals but nothing pleasant or anything.
Then I obtained some more, determined to find out what all the fuss was about or just give it up as not for me.
Tried it again and could kinda see something w/ my eyes closed and for once was feeling adventurous and took another toke and the stuff I was seeing got clearer and was super cool looking so I hurried up and put some more on the bowl and took 2 more tokes. The stuff I saw! The way I felt!
I finally knew why everyone was so impressed and raved about DMT. And this was all a sub breakthrough trip to boot!
I've never seen the things I've seen on DMT on anything else. Not even close.
My only complaint about DMT is that the fear is always there, no matter how many good experiences I have I always have to overcome the fear at first.
That, and some of the breakthroughs I have read about, here and in Strassmans book, ( Irish's trip is one to give me pause LOL ) make me not sure if I am ready for that or not. I have such a hard head that I don't get that far on other substances, even at high doses, so DMT is astounding to me. I hope to learn a lot from it.

I knew that you would be amazed when you got a good dose in you. I sure was!
Now you understand what all the fuss is about, just like I did.
Makes me wonder why I don't go back more often.

I have never had a "bad" experience with DMT but when I have burned it and not done enough to break through I have had uncomfortable experiences. Once you get it right there is nothing like it. No matter how much you research it or how many reports you read, you will still be surprised at what you discover the first time you break through. It is truly amazing when you relax, let go, and just ovserve what you are being shown. Glad to hear you got there Raziel. Great report.

Awesome report, I just love the D. The best trick I've always stood by is when smoking it, never try to "do the right amount." Just keep going, as many deep lungfulls as you can do, keep going as long as you are capable of smoking. This is helped by having someone there though, because they need to catch the molten hot pipe :-) It'll just whoosh on you and there you are. Don't stop when the fear or whatever hits you, just power on with one more hit...

Speaking of D, from my own personal experience, I actually do not find it that educational, just astonishing. I don't really learn much from it. Its always some super freako bizzaro tour through things I can't comprehend. Its like... Hey you! Check this out... now check this out... now check this out... now check this out... Don't you see? Don't you understand? No man, no freaking way, but show me more! hehe... I've never had any of those hyper vivid trances where its anything remotely on my level, like talking to aliens or god or pharaohs, what have you. Maybe aliens, I guess, but the things are so weird its not two way at all. Its a presentation. Its - ohheyyourehere quick check this out! And then reality starts biting, and you open your eyes and see the horrid nature of the room you are in from some viewpoint that quickly fades away. Ahhhhh D.... Anyway sorry for rambling!

What piece of Dj Shadow were you listening to? Just asking because I really like some of what he made, but can't open that youtube from my location (territorial copyright restrictions). My favorite Dj Shadow piece is the EP "What does your soul look like?".. with lots of samples from "Altered States" by Ken Russell. Well it's the music that does it, but the samples just adds a definite edge. Some of the best psychedelic chillout of the 1990s.. it has carried me into uncharted territory on many occasions. I don't even need to listen to the record anymore, it's all in my head. :-)

That is so true Calicyco, that what I was experiencing loads of really strange locations and "being". Each location seemed very familiar even though they were so foreign. I haven't experinece actually talking to aliens or pharaohs but I did have a stange experience my next trip 1 hour after the report above, I will explain in a minute.

I was listening too Blood on the motorway from private repress, the track was only 30 seconds into it when I slipped out of reality. EP-What does your soul look like is very good aswell, most of his stuff he has done and I think private repress is very good. Hard to find trip hop as good as DJ Shadow as he is the god father of trip hop and I can't see another artist as good as DJ Shadow appearing any time soon.


I waited one hour after my unreal trip above to try my second trip with DMT as I knew what I was doing now regarding geting a good hit. Did the same again, turned the lights out etc and began taking my first hit of my 2nd trip, did not go well to say the least, well not bad but VERY different from the previous trip ...

As soon as I took my first hit again I was launched again but this time I did not fully leave reality and after a few moment I thought "hang on, this isn't right". I was having a full blown open eye hallucination !!! Although what I am going to say next sounds as scary as hell I did not freak out at all (well sort of ) and felt aware and controled the whole time. I started feeling pins and needles in my left wrist and I looked down and saw cactus needles sticking out of my wrist. The first thing I thought was "shit I better get these out before I leave my body and I actually starting picking these spines out of my wrist and putting them next to me and thought "These spines will prove that this is real" and began scratching my wrist at this point realised that none of this waht just happened was real, at this pont I heard "cackling" fall around me and from a distance. I was being laughed at my some sort of "watcher". I looked far of into the distance of my room I saw a figure like the Faun in pan's labyrinth only without the horns and much skinnier, he stopped and looked at me for a few moments then began walking and it looked like he was focusing/concentrating on something as though he was fixing something or working. At this point something made me sit in the lotus position and put my hand together like I was about ti pray as if to show respect and to apologise or be sorry, I guess because I tried to get to the same level as before just for the hell of it.

The whole trip felt like I should not have been there because of the spines in my my wrist, the cackling, the confused look on the "fauns" face and the feeling of shame or guilt at the end of the trip right before I was flung back to the norm. The whole trip happened with my eyes open and in my own room only it didn't feel like my room in a weird way.

Won't piss off those "gatekeepers" again and will treat DMT with more respect, kind of felt liek I had gotten of lightly with a "spap on the wrist".

Very surreal and will alway remember trying to bring those cactus spines back to reality with me to prove I had been away, like trying to bring something back with me from a dream, the pain felt so real but strangly did not hurt it was more annoying than painful.

The cactus spines in my wrist felt as real as real can be, as soon as I smoked the first hit the pain appeared along with the body buzz. When the body buzz kicked in that is when I thought "hangon, what this annoying "pins and needle" feeling on my wrist" I looked at my wrist and actually saw spines as thin as hairs sticking out my wrist so I stated to pull them out and place then on the arm of my sofa. As I began to pluke them out I realised I was being fucked with and it was a hallucination, that is when I heard this distant cackling as if it had been a prank.

The faun did not appear as real as the cactus spines did but more like I had left my body and I was observing from a distance but still sat on my sofa and in the same room, weird. I had my eyes open and aware the whole time, well as aware as I though I was.

The spines were the first real hallucination I have had with any psychedelic that actually felt as real as I am now.

You can't fuck with DMT.

Sometimes I think we're sick in the heads doing all those weird drugs .

Excellent write up Raziel! Glad you got your breakthrough. I haven't yet but, I'm still very nervous and afraid at this point as I was stuck in Limbo and only seen things like myan water designs, kind of resemble something alien to me. but, I'm holding off til I'm ready because the body buzz I got wasn't the greatest and I felt as if I were gonna pass out during. calicyco - i agree that the best way to dose DMT is smoke til ya can't smoke no more - (within reason - i pack about 50% more than i think i'll need and hit it till it hits back )

Raz ...the cactus spines in your wrist is just freaky... on my 3rd DMT trip i had a similar experience - i was forcing myself to stay with this world fighting with everything i had ...i'll just say that the open eye visuals with that trip were OFF the chart - so yes - i tried to fuck with it - and it humbled me in very short order...

That reminds me of my first experience. One thing I noted is my visuals seemed to expand upon the form of whatever machines I was near. My firs launch was in the computer lab in the back of the house. My feet were jacks, the floor was a circuit board, my body was a component, and everything I saw was a lividly active computer part. My second launch was in the garage. Pistons reciprocated between the shelves, nailboards were valve bodies, and the feeling of pressure, heat, steam, and kinetic movement of this "machine" was a thrill beyond words.
