Concert Trips

Hey everyone!

I'm planning on going to the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco next week and I was considering eating a couple of 'shrooms to enhance the experience on one of the nights. I've tripped several times in the past, eating about 3.5g each time and think that the experience could be great. If I end up deciding to do it, I will go with a lighter dose (~1.5g) than I've done previously. I'll be with several of my best friends who will trip with me.

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys have any concert tripping experiences or advise you would share with me to help improve my experience.

BTW, long time lurker of these forums, I think what happens here is extraordinary

1.5 grams is a pretty guaranteed 'good' time for swim.
he'd have to push it up a couple of grams before the fear ever set in.

that being said, it's swim not swiy.
you know yourself friend.
if you're ready to handle the dose,
jump.

whatever you do
be aware.

Go for it. I just always make sure I have no responsibilities like hooking up with a friend or being somewhere at a certain time. A one man show is how I roll unless you've got a good buddy who gets it.
I remember one time waking up after a concert in a rocky field curled up in a ball. It was a good show though Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, and a few others. Back when good acid came through every year with the dead show.

I have tripped at A LOT of Dead shows, Allmans, some Widespread, and a gram and a half is a nice, social dose. I would not go over 2 or 2.5 in a social setting.

I think you have a good plan.

Yeah 2 to 2.5 sounds like a good time. Public tripping can be overwhelming if you're not careful.

I recently went to a all day metal show and ended up eating 4 grams throughout the day. Insanity.

Thanks for all of the advise, you guys have given me more confidence.

We're definitely gonna do it on Saturday (the day Mastodon and Dave Matthews play). Probably won't get quite as crazy as you firerat, since there won't be quite as much metal

The only thing I'm really concerned about is tripping in a large public setting, but with the lower dose I know I'll be fine. I'll get to warm up while I'm camping later this week, too

Well, haven't gone to the show yet, it doesn't start until the 28th

The goods are ready, though. Have some PE Albinos to enjoy when we're there.

I did, however, go camping yesterday and we tried a friends honey extraction. It was delicious, tasted just like honey, only it has a slightly bitter aftertaste. We each took a teaspoon of the honey (~1.5g dry mushies per tsp) and had an excellent time.

The extract came on fast and strong, we took it and started walking along a creek, about 20 minutes later we were all peaking, ended up walking back to the campsite and sitting around the campfire listening to some music until it got really dark out... then we broke out the glowsticks. Some of them ended up in the creek (glowfish!) and way more of them ended up in the fire. When you put a glowstick in a fire, it glows really really brightly and sometimes it will even explode!

The trip was a little different from eating dried mushies plain. It seemed more lucid and clear. No one in our group had very strong open eye visuals (doesn't surprise me at that dosage) but personally, I was having some wicked closed eye visuals. Insane fractals zooming in and out depending on how much I concentrated on them, glowing "beings" that seemed to communicate with me by dancing around, etc.

It was a really good time, I love tripping in nature with good friends.

well ....SWIM took half o of dried shrooms last friday in Atlanta and 4 hits of L while watching Incubus and had a good time...until i got lost near the end while peeing and the lights came on and i walked to nearest exit.....the wrong one i found out

there was 2 exits (east and west).i randomly ran into a friend twice that night and the second time was when i was lost and couldn't speak really ...i just kept walking trying realize i left out wrong exit until i bumped into that friend again in a big crowd and got a ride to my other friends that i got lost from.
oh yeah and i didn't have a cell phone ...thought i'd lose it.so left it behind.....

know where ur going and know ur surroundings.....
tonight i'm in lovely Atlanta again with a bean ...half o of dried fungi, and four hits of L again and going to the same place i got lost at last time...
wish me luck i'll dose up soon and go....had to get on this lovely site and visit with u guys and share some pics in other threads and do my daily research.

thats when I fully let go the human psyche structure of this planet..or at least mine...to something else
then..yeh

its euphoric and soothing
purple, golden yellow..dark light blue, bright white~~ so on

Yea! Dosing at shows is always fun. heavy light, whatever! Lots of dead shows phish allmen bro's etc,etc,etc. I only seen the dead twice without a dose just to see if it was just as good. It was i just love the music. Hay it's almost here ! enjoy the show !

When we go play in moms garden, it is always goo to make sure we leave it like or better than we found it. (Guilty mee too i am mon)

back in the day, the object of the whole event (concerts) was to fry and fry harder...from what I see and hear from you flyers these days, in my humble opinion the potency of things like (street aCiid) are way way lower than ever before. Back then, you didn't take two individual hits of anything...most shared one piece of fryege between 2 and four concert goers. But as the years past into the late mid and late 70's the quality and quantity dropped substantially...ending up where we are today.

Nobody ever did mushies back then...but there was mesciline around, and there was windowpayne every summer. Our idea of a good show was a square of Payne and a strawberry mesci shake on the way to the show (Mesci was for colors) which you really never needed when you had good fryege like the payne.

The one show that stands out in time was such; a summer of 74 window mesci experience at the Las Vegas Ice Palace (where we went for shows as kids)

Black oak Arkansas was the headliner...and Montrose was the opening act, we were just starting to come on to our adventurous mixture when montrose (wit a young sammy Hagar) opened with space station # five...and the rest was history, one of the best shows I ever saw, including many dead weekends out at the Silver bowl.

You cats had David Lee Roth, we had his mentor Jim Dandy...Who was the front man Black oak Arkansas, we were so blown away by the two bands, we hitch hiked to Ontario California, to see B O A, again at the California Jam.

Very good dosage there at the cali jam back in the day. Water was another issue altogether.
But that is another story.
