breaking through on spice

Yesterday SWIM procured about 150mg of spice, it wasn't bad looking spice, being kind of a pale yellow. SWIM ingested about 50mg by letting it melt into oregano and then smoking the oregano out of a bong in one hit. This made SWIM trip out for about two mind-blowing minutes and then come down. Today, SWIM procured another 100mg of the same spice, this time using a glass pipe with the spice between oregano and with a screen on either side of it. SWIM did this twice, each time doing about 50mg of spice and taking a few hits. SWIM didn't trip the first time, but tripped for about a minute and experienced a goldening of the room. SWIM feels that maybe the last time SWIM should have taken one more hit, and wants to know the best way to break through on spice since SWIM does not feel like SWIM has yet. advice?

Maybe packing a bit more, since melting into oregano then lighting will destroy some DMT. Though 50mg should take you there with ease...

Have to take a big hit, hold it as long as you can and then repeat. You might only get the second finished or maybe the third but at some point you won't know what a pipe is let alone where you are or what you are. If you aren't getting there on 150mgs of spice it is probably melting and going down into the pipe. Use more herbs or put it on some chore boy like it was crack. Maybe put some herbs on top of it to protect the spice from the flame. I used to wonder what the big deal about spice was until I got a couple good hits in me. Then I understood

IMO the favorites of meth heads- the glass pipe with the ball on the end- is the most efficient, being the least wastful and preventing the flame from incinerating the spice

You are probably right about efficiency, but unless one is familiar w/ their use they can be a bit hard at first. And you have to be careful. A friend of mine tried that method and sucked up some hot spice and it burned his throat and lungs. ( Burning sensation, no permanent damage or anything like that )
So if you are familiar or have a long stemmed oil burner, it would work well.

I referred to mine as a base pipe when I bought it. Unfortunately I can't seem to get it clean from smoking some rather dirty spice in it, and it produces an overwhelming bad taste. Though it could just be the DMT tasting bad, but I prefer to think of the bad taste as the black shit stuck on the bottom.

maybe clean it with acetone if it's glass. wait for the acetone to evap off before using a lighter on it again

I've been trying with 70% alcohol, if I can find a small amount of acetone I'll give it a shot.

also, if you want to clean it out, i recommend that you heat up that stuff in the bottom, and see if you can stick a q-tip down in there, and start rubbing it out. i had some dirty spice at one time as well, and after it dried, it turned into a tan wax that coated the bottom of the vapo pipe...i used a paper clip to break it up, and it came out.

other than that, a water chamber vapo pipe was only 25 bucks at my local head shop. makes the hits very smooth.

A straight glass tube with chore boy is my most often used method of smoking DMT. Basically a straight up crack pipe smoked exactly the same way I smoke crack...

A water bubbled freebaser style glass pipe is better, but more expensive and delicate and tends to break when a proper dose is inhaled and it falls from my hand.

Metal bowls and glass "spoon" pipes are worse than useless, IMHO.

When smoking DMT, I find that using a "blowtorch" type lighter makes heating the pipe (and not the spice - flame should never be near the magic) much more effective.

put 100mgs in a bowl of weed (or something 'inert' if thou smokest not) hit it until you can't see straight...put it down...close your eyes...breathe, baby, breathe...you'll get there!

Glass bowl base pipe through a water pipe ( DIY ), heat slowly and gently til vapours swirl, fill lungs up and hold that sucker for a long count of 20, take another hit, hold that even longer, ..and if you can still manage to hold the pipe then go for one more. This is what has worked for me.

If that don't do it then your spice is duff, sounds like you got good spice though. A lot is just going to waste.

I had the same problems until I got a proper pipe. The first time I used it blew me away compared to previous attempts.

Hope you can get hold of one.
