Questions about DMT firsts (and seconds)

Hello all, I am left wondering and I decided you guys would be the best to ask. --

I had waited very patiently for the right opportunity to try DMT and it finally appeared to me. Purity was verified by the chemist. I loaded ~40 mg into a base pipe and lit with a bic. The taste was somehow familiar. The rising pitch began as I had expected and the room started to shake violently and this violent shudder spread into my hands when I looked at them and into the pipe and up my arm. My friends face then decompartementalized (if you will). I then remember kinda waking up into a dream of looking a woman through a window,but i also felt like i was at the same moment in another place I was familiar with. Of course these clips were filled with visuals of snakes with scales that bled into each other and formed more snakes. I came back into the space I was in very quickly and I was looking at my two friends, I felt like myself again! but the funny thing was... I WAS STILL TRIPPING HARD! Like a mushroom trip but the scenery change made the normal hallucinogenic bit seem like normalcy.


I realize now that this post maybe better in Storming the Gates. I'll get to the questions.




1. Did i have an out of body experience, when I was "going out" of my body, when i took the hit, I felt my entire backside go cold like someone had their giant hand up to it. Also when I was going out, I heard kind of an unzipping in the wave pattern of the rising pitch. But, When I was coming back into my body I didn't see it before i entered and it was very abrupt.

2. I taste of DMT is very strong indeed and I realized what I was up against when I smelt this stuff. It was more of the jungly spice looking color, this spice was made with MHRB powder 2nd extract with naphthol, washed in ammonia. However, during the past few days since I partook I have suddenly sensed a subtle sense remembrance of the taste. I really truly taste and smell the chemical. Is this normal? What could cause this.

I have also been tasting and smelling DMT in the hours and days after I smoke, I've only just started out with it myself so I don't know if this is commonplace.

SWIM would often smell DMT at random, after smoking it, for up to a week or so later. He'd be walking down the street and just smell it. At first he thought everyone had just started smoking DMT everywhere he went, but he realized that this couldn't be the case. Ever since, anytime he smokes DMT, he does smell it at random for up to a week or so later. This is normal, as his friends have all reported the same experience.

As for the out of body experience, if you felt like you had left your body, then I would consider that an OBE. This is common with a breakthrough dose of DMT. If the spice was very orange, it might not have been pure DMT, though. SWIM finds that the pure white/clear DMT feels a bit cleaner when entering hyperspace, and the trip feels more pure, and has less body sensations.

This is relieving. Thank you both for sharing. I was afraid that the DMT was metabolizing slow, and this could have larger implications so on and so forth. I am so impressed with this stuff, I wish I could bring back more.

It's very easy to extract from Mimosa Hostilis Rootbark, that is easy to order from Mycotopia's sponsors. The chemicals needed are usually found online or fairly easy, even locally. No special equipment is needed, and the materials are relatively cheap, making it easy to get a nice supply of doses relatively easy.

Swim tried a slightly yellowed crystalline substance referred to as dmt over a bowl of chronic. It created a light sky color distortion, and a (for lack of better terms) light house flashing light over the sky. Swim heard the more yellow the dmt the less potent? Just curious as to everyones thoughts on this.

SWIm has noticed that the DMT is actually a bit less potent, but more so that it gives a different feel than the white crystals. It may be slightly less potent with less pure DMT, however the yellow oil and mixture of substances in the yellow, is also very active, usually giving a slightly different experience, of similar intensity to the white /clear DMT.

i also had the same sensation after i smoked DMT for the first time, smelling it everywhere randomly. i also hadnt been dreaming for quite sometime before i first tried it, id say maybe a year and then, that night that i did smoke the beautiful spice, i started dreaming again. i am an avid lucid dreamer but i cant seem to lucid dream without the dreamscape being presented to me beforehand for me to realize im dreaming. but now it has come back and i am elated. its so cool because everytime in my dreams the visions look the way they do when i trip. i can trip while im sleeping again! im glad so many people realize how awesome DMT is!

i agree with the smells, though it does have that new petroleum product smell which is easy to come across.

we also associate the experience with the smell, and it brings back the feeling.

same thing happens for songs that you listen to while tripping. listening to them later is like a entirely new emotional experience, like heavy meditation, its easy to cry at this point because it can be too much to handle.

I'm not sure if that was an out of body experience, but now you will definitely start to smell and taste the spice at seemingly random times and places (like Whatcha said).

I have heard of this phenomenon and experienced it myself - a 'familiarity' that defies all explanations - as DMT can be sooo alien and weird, yet somehow a sense of "coming home" has been described by many. It certainly felt like that for me, I will never ever forget my first breakthrough, I cried my eyes out for fifteen minutes, it was just so impossible, so beautiful, and I had 'finally done it'...it is impressive, powerful stuff.

okay so i read a book that was given from a foaf and all that jazz...

in this book the character acquired some simple necessary tools for an unknown journey. completely unknown. this character had been on many other different journeys but this one was in a direction never before ventured.

in one night the character from the planet neptune gathered each and every necessary item and decided it was time to leave.

the character placed some magic spice into a proper place and took a nice deep breath. the character left on his journey. the character realized very quickly that the scenery changed before he had even exhaled and realized it was necessary to become hands free. and the flutter of exhale was noticeable.

immediately there were beings in the many looking back at the character. but in geometrical form. everywhere. the character forgot or couldn't tell which were his limbs or extensions and they looked as if from other beings or as if they were other objects. everything all around was staring back at the character.

the character remembered or felt like he remembered to breathe and was quite euphoric and in a very strange and different place.

feeling quite humbled and in a land not his own. almost as if he had trespassed and was being laughed at for trying to partake in forbidden sights.

beneath the character was wooden floors which became a beautiful underground breathing sea garden.

the character realized that while he had ventured deep he had not ventured far that his journey would soon lead him back and that he would certainly make it back as that is the way the path goes.

the creatures were certainly wide eyed with a sort of maniacal or demonic tone. definitely forbidden.

the character is humbled once again.

Swim, too, has had the smell/taste recolection, but not just with spice. Swim has had it with every drug (illegal or not) s/he has taken; perhaps this is a subconscious calling to experience the tasted/smelled drug? Maybe even like how when one craves something, it's the body telling the mind what it needs. Only in this case it's just the mind...
