What is that sound?!?!?

Whenever I consume the magic, I always hear this buzzing/ wirring sound that fluctuates.

Do any of you get that?

Do you have any idea what that is?

Maybe it's associated with a feeling, maybe of vibration, somewhere in your body?

I get this too! I don't know if it's the senses being more receptive or if it is actually something. I really feels like something. Almost like there's some kind of pressure in there that causes it. Then again, maybe my ears are just damaged, hah.

You think this has anything to do with the incredibly loud ripping/shredding/bubblewrap/fart sound I hear on deemsters? Also sometimes accompanied by what sounds like a huge brass section (horns, etc.). On shrooms its more of just a tinnitus thing, with ringing and such. Does it change when we trip harder?

All i know, is that is that it happens all the time...and some times it seems responsive. It sounds external, but I could be wrong. Its definitely interesting, and I'll have to check and see if I only hear it indoors, or if I hear it outdoors too.

Im glad im not the only one that hears it....now Iv got peeps to bounce ideas off

Mine actually feels internal, like there's water moving around in my ear, which definitely is not the case when I'm not tripping. Mine is like a little irregular click that goes on inside my ear, like there's bubbles being blown out of it and the click is the bubbles popping. It doesn't feel like a hallucination either, I can actually feel the clicking as it happens. Maybe my phenomenon is different from yours.

Ya...mine is an interesting, almost droning sound, that is constant. The closest thing i can compare the sound to, is if you made a humming sound by making a humming ZSh tone, and keeping it up. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ & Shhhhhhhhhhhh @ the same time. Not exactly, but it gives you a general idea. It's definitly no like ringing in the ears, and like I said before...Its like i can interact with it sometimes...and go deeper into it. It sounds external and like its moving throught the space while filling it.

You could see if you can change it?. First start humming the same sound, then slowly try to change the tone/sound of it.

That's a pretty cool experiment Om....Im gonna have to give that a try. Im going to go get a Drug test tomorrow morning, and then I'll eat a bunch of Gyms and let you know how it goes

ive had that too but i think its a form of Synestesia. heres the wiki jump: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesthesia i often hear the said electrical fluctuating buzzing sound at night tripping when theres a bright light i can see. pretty soon it starts making that sound, starts moving aroung and keeps getting closer. but this light is like blinding ET bright. most often it turns out to be a low flying prop plane for me. but i have heard a light on someone porch make that sound and from then on in the trip every light had a destinctive tone. i think synestesia fitts the bill.
