Yearly Relationship

Part 1

So.
This started awhile ago.

I have been picking azures in the same places for 12 years now and have dosed almost exclusively on them. I have gotten to know the far reaches with this variety. They speak to me or it speaks very clearly through this strain. Like putting your head trough a curtain of water till you get through and can dry your eyes and see a different world clearly on the other side. At other times your body is like ice or shimmering gas vapor and just melts away into nothing. With azures my ego holds together like a sugar cube in hot water. I believe there is a different effect from the alkaloid ratio in this variety, especially fresh.

Every year I have slowly dialed in on the (or they have dialed me in) right conditions so as to be sure to cross paths with these bluefoots. We have a relationship. This year being no exception.

It starts as the rains begin and I start to think about them. It then leads up to me setting a date to go. A ritual of sorts. As the day approaches that I am to go picking I start to visualize the mushrooms and their locations. Like a magnet I am drawn to their always perfect little settings where they are waiting. I get very strong deja-vu feelings as I pick sometimes in places within inches of each other year after year. I feel as I am picking and going from place to place that I am guided in some way by the mushroom and I am talking to it in my mind saying thanks. The whole process is like a dream as the memories and the years just blend together.

I come home this year and make some prints that I have been sending out to you all. Last sat night I find myself alone for the evening and I sit down to put together some addressed envelopes with prints in them. At some point I decide to go to the mailbox and check the mail and low and behold I get a print in the mail from a fellow topiate. The thought enters my head that the mushrooms work is all around me and this is a sign that I should partake in the new seasons harvest tonight. The opportunity has show itself. Or the mushroom has cleared a space in my life and shown me a sign.

I eat a light dinner and go to sleep. I get up at 2:30am and get prepared to fly. For me the silence of the deep night makes me calm and my head is as clear as it is going to get for lift-off. I smudge the house and put on the water to make the tea.

Someday I will get a scale. Dosage approximately "allot". The usual handful dried.

You mean blue runner or blue angel don't ya as the blue foot is Psilocybe caerulipes not psilocybe azurescens. Seems you have a special relationship going on with this mushie. Azures are diffently the bomb

azures are my most sought after woodlover for a dose, I am in the complete opposite direction unfortunately!!! If I am Ever ofer in the far PNW im goin hunting!!! that story had me amazed, I could imagine being you, it was very detailed! thank you!!!

That's a very special relationship you have with nature.

I have a similar relationship with P.Semilanceata.

You just kind of get in tune with them and their location.............It's almost as if they want you to find them.
