![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Printing: PE and PE Uncut
My buddy swim is new to PE and PE uncut, and this is his first cycle with the genes. He has read everywhere that they are notorious for being hard to spore print. Swim spawned a few tubs of both PE and PE uncut to a 50-50 horse poo / straw substrate. He has never had problems spore printing in the past, is there a trick to spore printing PE? Is there just allot of duds in the strain? He's just curious why it is so notorious for being a hard printer. thanks for your time guys. love, peace, compassion and respect wishy |

theres almost no gills to take a print off of and they dont drop that many spores some strains are heavy depositors of spores yet PE drops barely any PEnvdfgd.jpg these caps are opened all the way |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() ![]() I found letting the caps mature and open fully worked best for prints. I really worked on isolation and got lucky in isolating a substrain that printed, though as you can see not heavy. I also found they dropped heavier and better on paper (like note cards) rather than foil. Just my observations. Printing is printing imo. And the comment above about they don't have gills????? they do have gills, I don't know why someone said that. I am in total agreement with Hippie, isolate and work with it a bit.

Those are really nice prints for PE, well done. For anyone that gets a PE in a trade and are unsure if you got the real deal, a good clue is the shape of the print. PE prints are more of a ring shape, with just a thin band of spores around a large empty central circle. This makes sense considering the shape of the PE caps, but isn't often considered when examining a print. Freaky's picture should be saved as a reference as this is a pretty consistent feature of the strain.
