you may have noticed a change in the way you can post here-
now one must click on the quick icon under a post in the thread
to activate the posting box.
[quotes are the same except a link is inserted visible to all]

if you are wondering why
then here's the deal-
by clicking the icon,
you create a link between your post and the one clicked upon,
this is useful to trace exactly to whom the reply is directed.

to use this feature
one must be viewing threads in either
the hybrid or threaded mode,
it [the cross-linking] is not evident if viewing in linear mode.

to select
your viewing mode
just click the extreme right DOWN icon of the top of the thread,
where it says Display Modes.

using the threaded mode displays one post at a time,
useful for those on dial up.

This may be the wrong place to ask., but the "practice" posting threads I've seen have old dates.

Can somebody, please tell me how to go about posting a NEW post.

Click the icon at the top of every sub-forum to make a new thread.Use the Icon,located under the last poster's avatar to post a reply or simply use the quick reply box at the bottom of a thread to reply to a post.
