Unfortunetly you can't inline images uploaded to the mycotopia servers, it has to have the correct .3 on the file name.

EDIT: Not true anymore, inlines work just fine like that now.

I would recommend if doing inline images that you do it from a anonymous site and not your own personal website, that image could reveal your identity.

use photobucket.com to host the images then use the "[img]" tag. Photobucket even gives you the correct tag for the image to copy and paste. I've been doing it on a few images since i read the FAQ for this new board.

You can use fake info to get a free photobucket account. The problem is if the image host site ever goes down the images are gone from the thread. Could present a problem in the future.

Attachments seem to be one of the hangups of this new board, although having thumbnails makes the threads load alot faster on my 28.8k connection.

Click on the uploaded image to blow it up. Then highlight the link on the bar and copy it from your edit options. Close the image and then go to the icon with the mountain on it (Insert Image icon) just to the right of the color font choices at the top of the reply box and click it. It brings up the insert image option and then you simply paste the link their. Hit delete before pasting the link to clear the http//. As it's included in the pasted link.

Heres what i did on the first post here.

First i uploaded the pic (cubies growing on a wood substrate, in this case), then i clicked the pic to open it in a new window, and copied the address out of the address bar in that new window.

Then i used the img tags (use [tag] rather then the {tag} i'm using, i can't use the []'s or it'll try to post the image) around the address, like this:
{img}http://forums.mycotopia.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=2928&d=1111895691{/img}

okay, the attach tag needs the uploaded file to remain, while you can delete the attachment after making an image tag. I got it now.

Ahhh, very interesting.

If you use an attachment ID from a different post it puts the link, if you use one in your own post it puts the thumbnail there, rather then in the bottem section.
