My poor poor postcount..... Bright side, i got a line on a Saab 99 turbo engine, which will hopefully drop into my tr7 quite easily (saab bought the machining of the tr7 engine, changed a couple things so it didn't blow headgaskets, flipped it around, and turbod it). Then i'll have 150hp instead of 85-90! Downside, odds are as soon as i hit boost i'll powder the rear end... It was origionaly designed for a 600cc engine you see, triumph beefed it up a couple times, but it still doesn't belong in a 2000cc car... let alone a 2000cc turbo car :P Plus it's already making bearing noises...... Ahh well, it'll be fun till it chunks itself, then i'll get a stronger one and turn up the boost

Ok, i really rather like some bits of this new board, the editing, and insta-posting rock. Having to click a button to use the quick-reply is a bit annoying, but i like how quickly it sticks the post on, and editing doesn't even change screens!

Will do... If i make good enough power i ought to powder the rear end quite nicely... It was designed for a 600cc engine you see, then beefed up to handle a 1.2, then a 1.4, no changes for the two liter. A two liter turbo (or, eventually, i hope, a high boost saab supercharged engine...) ought to do some wonderful things to it :P

Hell yeah, you've done some kill pics in the past, lets see soup from the differential & gearless rear end action! Hint, start shopping Allis & Chalmers now :P

Soon as i blow it apart (another step taken! My megasquirt fuel injection box is done!), i'll go to either a 5spd tr7 rear end (easy cheap swap), which is good for a solid 250hp(big torque hp, like supercharged 3.8 buick, or v8, not 250hp and 160ft-lbs nonsense), or a modified 9inch ford rear end, with a limited slip diff and rear disk brakes... Thats good for a solid 700hp or more, should be hard to break, downside is it costs a grand. ouch.

NEVER STOP! Content follows: Got my megasquirt (DIY fuel injection computer) to actually run my car briefly, after fucking with it for a solid four hours or so... Turns out, honda ignitors don't respond to the same signal gm HEI4 ignitors do.

Ask and yee shall receive! First pic, megasquirt ECU and HEI4 in a prelude ECU case. TR7's stock intake, thats how runners ought to look imo, short and straight to the point. Though those are rather small, coming soon (maybe at the post office today!) is a fuel injection manifold, that looks like it'll bolt straight up to a set of Honda CBR929 individual throttle bodies (40mm each) that should arrive on friday... I will of course, post pictures of those too, as they are quite pretty. 79-80 (one of each, i think) saab 900 turbo manifolds, should bolt onto the TR7 head with minor modifacation. Prelude engine bay, note the ghetto short ram intake, set it up because my cold air intake runs the risk of sucking half a puddle up it and blowing my engine into peices, not good. Also note, plenty of room for a turbo. Unfortunetly, the really pretty bits (turbos!) are at the shop, out of range of my camera...

Doin my part.... Pictures!! #1 TR7 fuel injection intake manifold, note the decently size, straight through runners, and round intake hose connections. #2 TR7 manifold again, when i said straight through, i meant it! #3 Individual Throttle Bodies, off a Honda CBR929 (150hp 929cc inline four). Note the rough size of the rubber intake hose connections. #4 talk about straight through! All in all, they'll go together, and make for the FIRST, and ONLY TR7 with ITB's! Go me. Then it's turbo, making about the 4th or 5th ever TR7 turbo, and the only one with modern fuel injection. It may or may not last a thousand miles, but it'll be fun!
