It just didn't seem right to mention Miss USA and forget about former Miss Nevada, who did pretty much the same thing as Miss USA (minus the coke) but lost her title when these racy pics surfaced. She's the one in the red:

And, those pics Miss Nevada weren't "racy" they were softcore porn! I'm not complaining, but I can see why she was stripped of her title. To me it's just too bad to watch so many beautiful young women eventually, inevitably (if they keep on partying like that) crashing head first into the Ugly Wall. One day, after one line too many, the party ends and they ain't cute no more (to put it mildly) so they're tossed aside like empty beer cans. Funny that the pics had a sign in the background that said "Listen to Your Dad."

I would vote against a Miss Mycotopia pageant, same as I'd vote against any pageant or contest that glorifies one person, makes a few sad and bitter, and messes with the heads of countless others by confronting them with unattainable ideals of form. Guys: Right now, point to the most beautiful woman in the world. Are you pointing at an abstract idea or at the woman who loves you back? If you don't have a wife or girlfriend, it might be because you answered that question wrong. (or your last gf was totally nuts... a different but often related issue)

In her defense those pictures were taken when she was like 19, years before she won the title of "Miss Nevada". Miss USA was holding the title while she did the pretty much the same thing AND was snorting coke. I don't think it's right to strip the title from one for something that happened years before and not from the other who did the same thing while she held the title.

I don't have a problem with what either one of them did; getting a little wild on a night out at a club or even snorting coke. It's just hypocrtiical that the same people judging the "morality" of their actions repreived one and persecuted the other. I don't see what the big deal was in either case. In light of her being in the public eye and being a "role model" as Miss USA it was probably not smart to violate the laws (even if I don't agree with said laws) out in the open. I would never want my kids (if I had any) to look up to Miss USA or Miss Anyone as a role model anyway. I agree with you on the superficiality of pageants and I can't stand them, but the women are still nice to look at.

Yeah, I still want directions to that club, and don't think someone should be kicked out of a contest focusing on appearance and sex appeal for looking good and acting sexy. I do, however, understand why the crusty old coots would boot her. Tarnishes their unspoiled hot virgin fantasies, or something similarly ridiculous.
