![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Dog the Bounty Hater Cried as he found out he would not serve any jail time. I wonder if that fucker ever woke up and realized his job hunting people to lock them up, may be a bad thing, as he worried about losing his own freedom for so long. I am glad he didnt go down. Maybe he can help some of the folks he has burned or maybe help some that could be. Maybe.

![]() | I don't usually defend the fuzz but a bounty hunter often (in Dogs case) is the same bondsman who gave you $30K for bail so if you bounce, you just ripped him off 30k I would hunt you down too for that much. They help criminals who can't afford it to bail out. I watch that show and they often take people in and then sign for their bail again so they can re realeased when they would have been left in jail for a warrant...if all cops cared as much as Dogg and his family do, pot and shrooms probably would be legal. I have rarely seen them act like dicks to someone who didn't deserve it. There are many times that I would have spent weeks in jail awaiting trial had it not been for bondsman. A lot easier to come up with $2500 than $25,000 |

![]() | it's a freakin' TV show run by dog about dog. OF COURSE they show him being kind, generous, etc. all an act. you never see him being a dick because they don't point their camera that way or it gets edited out. don't believe everything you see, you are being manipulated. i NEVER saw any bondsman 'help' out some poor sucker, which is why there are millions sitting in jails awaiting trials. it's all about the money, they couldn't care less about the folks they hunt down. just a sleazy way to earn a buck off the misery of others.

![]() | Hip, I guess you are somewhat right but I choose to believe he is human and makes mistakes just like everyone else. He is a Christian and so am I and I also choose to give him the benefit of the doubt because I think he is a decent person. I did see one episode where he was swearing and flipping out but he did give the guy 2 chances and he burned him both times. Do you run this board for the money or to help people? Don't take it as an attack either but a lot of your other sales come from this board, don't they? I believe you are in it for both( more to help, but is nice to make a living doing what you luv) from reading your posts for the last several months. I have never met a bondsman who appeared to give a s#!t but I still believe they could exist. He has 10 kids too so he has to have some patience and compassion. "We can agree to disagree on this without being disagreeable"~K Hagin Sr I second the building a booth at the courthouse. The only bondsman at the time I needed one was and hour and a half from where I was living in Ma and it sucked to have to wait...The first time I used one I remember it well. It was the 1st of 2x that I got arrested for something I had no connection to whatsoever...just happened to be in the area on the way to pick up some $#!t and got grabbed for it. |

![]() | i ran this board for many years as a financial loss, never earned a profit and spent thousands of dollars and hours. i don't need the forums to sell stuff, sporeworks has no forum, but does well. fungi perfecti, ralphster, the list goes on. i could run a banner at shroomery, sell on ebay, pay google, etc. most don't have forums, in fact, and still even now what i make i don't make here as such but off my other site. so your point is lost on me.

![]() | the fact of the matter is that i did not build the forum here to sell anything, only after 3 full years of paying for everything out of my own pocket eventually the cost of growth got so high that i was forced into the jar biz just to support the site, the reverse of what you imagined. stop and think- in reality a site like this actually hurts my business, i don't get to sell anything to people that i've taught how to make their own. if money was my primary motive i'd be better off killing off Topia and funneling the money/time i spend here into my business / advertising budget.

![]() | Whoa guys, slow down a second. I assumed that Hippie makes money from this board but does it because he cares too. It just didn't come out that way and I already appologized. It was a bad example I guess because Hippie spent years investing his time and money with no pay and Dog probably didn't. I wasn't trying to imply anything about Hip at all just merely make a comparison to use as an illustration. You have to have money to make money in that business and I am sure he has lost people before which means lost money. He ain't that impressive that I would say he's caught em all. So in the early years of a business, even one like that, you have to care about your job to some degree to stick through it. He doesn't seem that materialistic, all his jewelery is bones and stuff like that. My point is that he sucks as an actor but I think he is a genuine decent guy. Maybe all the dick bondsman started out with good motives but the job broke them. Happens to prison gaurds a lot. They come in wanting to make a difference and they leave either realizing we are all people or take the high road and treat us like shi+. I choose to see the good in anybody I can! I don't want to live thinking people suck, I choose to believe that just some people do...even law enforcement. I have friends who are firefighters and cops and they are good people who don't act the norm. They leave people like me alone. I have been fortunate several(4)times to get bagged with herb and even heroin once and let go, made my grind my $hit into the ground but it could have been worse. I choose to forget the part where they bothered me at all and just remember that they let me go. Even if it is a delusional happy world in my head I like it there...it was a long walk. That was the ultimate point I was trying to make but my mind wouldn't let me just say that. I am for thinking you are nice until you prove me otherwise. ~Pce ![]() |

![]() | you'll make fewer mistakes if you presume people have bad intentions until they prove otherwise. i wouldn't criticize your desire to believe in the essentially good nature of all mankind. it's naive but noble. alas, as i near some 50 revolutions around the sun life has thoroughly beaten such notions out of me. truth is that people are neither good nor evil but a mixture of both. even dog.

![]() | You are totaly right but I spent several years focusing on the negative and that sucks. Like they said in the matrix "ignorance is bliss" hehe jk I am not too ignorant, just want to be happy again...or at least content. I lived on the street for a bit so I choose to not see a lot but I know it is there. Just don't feel I have to let it effect me negatively, maybe others willl see my example and be bettered by it. I ran into a friend from jail who's been out for a year and doing good. I almost wrote him off as a junkie that would never stop and now he is doing good and in school to become a pastor. I really ain't that naive...just don't pay attention to a lot of stuff that used to bother me a lot. |

I would feel no gratitude towards someone with a gun making me grind my dried plant material into the ground (and even the heroin, though I would never be carrying that)- material that harms no one else. It's kinda sorta like feeling "fortunate" that someone just stole my wallet but didn't steal all my clothes, too. "It could have been worse" is a feeling we have when we are resigned to lowered expectations, in this case it's expectations of personal freedom. Yes, it could've been worse, but is that a reason to tolerate abuse of power? (which originates and trickles down from the legislative level; they are the people telling the cops who or what to go after, so we should be more pissed at them than at the cops doing what they're told, seems to me) | |
