i believe it is the lyre bird which produces a very artistic nest to lure a mate. i was taught that man is superior because of it has a larger brain and apposable thumb.could birds have art?look what they have done with parrots.if you take advancements in technology the ant or termite are the closest in advancement.

That is pretty amazing but also sad. Poor bird is singing his own eventual demise. On a lighter note there are some great videos of talking parrots and such on youtube. There is even one or two of a bird trying to beatbox!

I wonder if that tail is for more than just decoration... it creates a canapoy around them, i wonder if the feathers are sensative to sound, like our hairs are to slight movement... sound vibrations are just moving air... and they are talented to reproduction of sounds... just a thought.

wow that was incredible that bird was right on with all of his impersonations how the sounds of other birds and chainsaws attracts a mate is still unclear to me though
