listenn to this a story about me gettin stroked ...
yeah so i fucked up last july 4 , got wasted as fuck and ended up stealin some minor shit from a store (iggnorants plays a role when im drunk) but anyways i wa son probation at the time and i just go tpicked up almost after a year.. so the judge keeps me in jail for 7 days .. i bonded out for 5000 , then i just appeared in court fuckin may 1st, so they senteced me to house arrest for 90 days .. which is gonna run me 1300... then they gave me more probation (what a bitch) and along with that they gave me a 360 days suspeneded if i fuck probation up then i have to do a year in jail.... after im already going to do 90 days.. and on top of it they gave me 2000 in fines... then on top of shit i got also got pv's which they senteced me for the reason i got the pvs for,fuckin double jeporady ... then they wanna slam me with more time in a few weeks, thenb come to find out they wont count my 7 days incarcerated... the way i see it , is that a person that has had alcohol related charges (all my charges are alcohol related or under the influence when commited. but a person who has alcohol and drug problems in the system around here is a victim to a nice milking, they dont want to solve the problem or get me help they just want to put me back on probation so i can fuck up again and again and so on, im fuckin fed up with the system. did i metnion my crimes were fuckin misdameanors. it seems to me a felon gets treated better than a person who has petty as charges. Fuck the police for real. there just out for them selves....

public pretender, hell no dude i didnt have a job for along time i cant afford alwayer but i got a job now but all money is going to those cocksuckers. i fuckin hate the way the law goes about shit like tell me what i can and cant do to myself... fuck that i aint harming anyone except my self now im not gonna be able to smoke for a long as fuckin time its fuckin depressing

I agree with this. Maby the reason they fine so hard is to discourage future offences of the same nature. just my opinion

I was on probation for 3 and a half years and no they definatley don't treat felons better. The half year was because I smoked a joint.

I have had my share of alcohol related offenses, 3 DUI's. In MIchigan 3 drunk driving offenses in a lifetime is a felony, not 3 in 10 years, 3 in a fucking lifetime. My first 2 were in the late 80's and my third was Dec 2006. This is really fucked because now I cant get a job anywhere because I'm now a felon. On top of it all I was charged almost $4500 and spent 90 days in jail, 60 days on an alcohol tether and 2 years probation. I have never blown more than .14 on any of them and my last one I blew a .09, our new law is .08. all of the offenses I passed every field sobriety test they threw at me until the breathalizer came out, busted. Its all a money grab, they do not care to get you help just your money period. I've never had an accident or hurt anyone but I'm now treated like the worst criminals. Sucks being in these situations, but hey I did it to myself.I had a public pretender also.
Needless to say I've been alcohol free for 14 months and will stay that way for the rest of my life.

or drugs/alcohol

You already went to court, so I think it's pretty much over. If you had court coming up, I would have tried to come up with my own punishment including drug/alcohol classes/treatment. If you went in with that approach often times they will listen and say "ok, we think you need to get some help so this is the deal"...
