Just curious how many people would be interested in stills, both pot stills and reflux columns? I'm not an expert, but I've been working on a few stills for myself and was wondering if Topiates would be interested in purchasing a still (for decoration). Let me know what you think.

I know there are limits(BATF) on how much alcohol(wine and beer) a family can produce each year. I think wine and the like is 100 gallons + 50 per additional adult family member in the household. Is anyone aware of the actual law?

Although it is illegal to distill alcohol or own a still for such purpose without special licenses in the US, it is legal to distill water and own a still for that.

Ok, I just went to the BATF web site to find out. Here's the link.

200 gallons of beer per year with housholds that have two or more adults and 100 gallons per year with housholds that have one adult.

The same appears to be true with wine.

Basically I'm just offering my services to build a still. What you do with it is your business and I'm not responsible. I have a pick of a still I'm currently building for myself. It's a reflux column designed by bokakob (picture 1) and I'm also in the progress of building a much larger column to be attached to a keg (picture 2). Any questions, feel free to ask. I'll answer what I can. Also, a FOAF finished a sour mash yesterday (picture 3 - he's a big fan of drinky crow on adult swim).
