Got this one done about a month ago. Do I need to explain why?
I am looking for good motives that would serve as empowering talismans, strong symbols of faith and belief.

For those who believe that we can bring more magic to our bodies. And for those who believe in the experience of the mark - through the pain.

Sounds like you are talking about making your own sigils and implements. In chaos magic one makes their own symbols or tools that can be charged however the user wants. This can be done using words, gestures, ritual, chemognosis (

), really anything to get yourself in an altered state of consciousness.

I have a tattoo of three symbols on my side, which I made myself. I just took the individual words and reduced them, eliminating double letters, then combining letters until it looked "magical". Check out the wiki on chaos magic, sounds like you might like it.

I've read almost whole wiki about occult etc. But honestly I was never able to properly dig it by myself without a guide. I see that there is something in all of it - from Qabalah through ancient Egyptian religion, wicca, buddhism etc. I was never able to decide upon one thing and I've just maintained individuality by taking a bit from everything. That may be indeed the true chaos magic.
Anyways - thanks for advice - I'll order a book ;].
