![]() | Worm Water did I screw up
I used only worm water no regular water in BRF/Verm Jars and I soaked rye grain in worm water for 36 hours then pc'ed it. Cooled, then inoced it. After 3 days rye grain show no growth, PF Jars in 5 days show no growth. Did I screw up? Did I overdo it? Ideas? |

wow it looks like I lost all my posts after the web page switchover. First time I used worm water... I used to use it to sprinkle on my cakes on a Double End Casing. This is the first time I am using grain, I want to move exclusively to casings, so grain spawned to castings and straw should be good. If things go good I want to use this jar of rye for Grain to Grain.... (It saves me work, and spores) |

wow pretty cool so lets say someone is doing the bleach/lime pasturization tek for straw can they add some poo to the water to taint it? or a better question is, would the added poo have any good effects on the straw, or would the bleach and lime sap any good qualities out of the poo.

I dont know the answer on the pasteurization.... I was using the worm water as a replacement for water as the worm water would be really rich in nutes. It is now 6 days for the jars and 4 for the rye and still nothing.... My incubator isn't warm enough tho, so that would slow things. We shall see I guess....

Your plants will love da poo just as much as your mushies do. Trust me on this one. Poo teas work great in hydro, too. You don't have to worry too much about checking your TDS. It's pretty hard to get things too "hot" using natural teas. DON'T GO OVERBOARD, THOUGH!!!! Try an experiment or two first... Check out the EM bokashi composting method: http://www.emtechnologynetwork.org/~...shiRecipe.html It works WONDERS with plants...special plants suck it up like a sorority girl hitting free coke...
