Thumbs down Big suckers, ID help [ russulas ]

Hey guys, found these babies growing in some damp bark/leaves in the bush on east coast NSW, australia. I haven't done a spore print yet, i plan on doing one over night.

They look like amanita muscaria to me, or some amanita breed, only they don't have all the white dots on top I've seen on others in photos. Can anyone ID them from these photos?

try googling russula emetica, russula xerampelina, russula rosea, or russula mairei. russulas are a very diificult genus to ID, and many are red capped with brittle white flesh. many taste like radishes or even hotter. there are no known psychoavtive mushrooms within the russula genus that im aware of. to positively id this mushroom you may need a microscope. im am no expert on australian mushrooms...but that is most likely a russula. did you get a sporeprint?

sporeprint should be white or off white. if you have russula xerampelina the lammelae and flesh should bruise brown.

russulas are commonly host to hypomyces lactiflorum....which is another fungus that turns them into lobster mushrooms.
