Siam Jim....pigs ear is a slang term for another pezizale sp mushroom....ive also heard discina perlata refered to as pigs ear...and to confuse matters more there are members of Gomphus sp. that are referred to as pigs ears. Pic number 5 is a "box" gyromitra , not to be confused with G. infula or G. esculenta.

ALL that I have found is one Dryads Saddle and an unidentified small polypore. Stupid morels.

The lack of Dryads and Coprinus in my area does make me wonder what is out yet in my back yard, tho. Dryads especially, Polyporus squamosus, should be everywhere I look.

I have to agree Bobcat, there's very little fungus growing near me at present.

I've only spotted the mica caps, and some polypores. Gonna give it another shot tomorrow night, or this weekend. Shitty weather!

Greys, I'm glad you're having luck! I am hoping in a week or two Northern LP will be a treasure chest
