    Fantastic!!!!!

    Very nice Pics Greys!

That Trillium is beautiful! I always use the trillium as a sign I have good soil for morels. I went out the other night after a good storm, but it was too wet and cool, but did see some trillium just starting to grow, not quite in bloom yet. I hope it rains tomorrow so I can look this weekend.

I'm very jealous of your finds Greys! I hope you ate a tastey dinner!

That is so cool. I live in So Cal and the land is so dry that lush green areas are far and few between. I am sorry, but the caterpillars are too creepy.

Oibchip, I use a beatup cannon a610 that has a decent super macro mode. i use a ziplock baggie filled with rice for a tripod....lol. thats it...thats all i use.

Freaky- all of the LP is reporting finds especially of blacks....you should be able to turn up some morels this week if you havent already.Stay determined and keep looking!
The trilliums are pretty, there were at least 5 different types of trillium orchids in the woods i was hunting that day.

dying elms, live ash trees, black cherry, maples, cottonwood...in northern locations aspen and white pine.

wild roses and raspberries also produce a few morels.

look for heavy bark and leaf litter as well, but wood chips....not so much.
