    morel foray from this weekend

    Was pretty dry up in Northern michigan. Still managed to eek out a few morels. Was beautiful up there though...and warm. First time ive ever hunted in a t shirt and tennis shoes all weekend.

    looks good, i guess we got all your rain and then some more as we're still flooded a hundred miles in every direction. guy was selling morels $25 for a little paper bag full, they were tasty too!

    Yeah we were out this weekend too, travelled A LOT to get to some higher ground, but regardless of the abundant rain, it seems that the morell season is over. Today its 33 c in the shade so its def over. This funky rock was worth travelling for though...

    jim ...heres one way.....fried in egg and cracker meal. some ppl fry in egg and flour......i also love them in butter and white wine with asparagus over fluffy egg noodles.....and in basic beef stock/cream sauce over a steak or grilled chicken. alot of ppl in michigan love them sauted in bacon with trout....if I could catch a trout id try it!! btw jim....be patient....the eagle will land for you soon.....
