what is the difference between panaeolus subbalteatus & panaeolina foenisecii?

was just wanting to ask what is the difference between panaeolus subbalteatus and panaeolina foenisecii ID wise?

i have some pans that pop up in my garden around this time of year, so should be in the next month,
that look just like the pix you took of the pan subs but iv previously id'd them as bein pan foens
any help on spotting the difference?

pretty sure these are pan foenisecii
    found in a grassy lawn
with a thin white stem, belted cap and dark brown spore print - but no bruising.

Subbalteatus stems should be 'reddish beneath minute whitish fibrils'

Panaeolina has chocolate brown spore print while Panaeolus subbalteatus has a black spore print.

Panaeolina foenisecii grows in grass on lawns and panaeolus subbalteatus grows mostly in compost heaps, rotted hay hay stacks left out all winter with tarps on them to compost, stable shavings with hay compost, manure heaps and/or sometimes in manured soil but very rare in lawns.

Panaeolus subbalteatus is always psychoactive and Panaeolina foenisecii is never psychoactive.

Read the two papers on both Panaeolus subbalteatus and Panaeolina foenisecii at :
