    Are These Oysters ?

    Hello:

I found clusters like these down in the gully beside my house. They were growing on birch logs. I think they look like a type of oyster. Can anyone help me identify them?

    Thanks

Very possibly Jacks Hyph, a very deadly shroom.
I really can't tell from the pix though.
Jacks will also fruit off of wood.

    Thank all

I've been observing this colony for some time. They never open up like the jacks shown. They always stay "under-curled", and also only grow in clusters.

I'm not in the habit of eating random unidentified mushrooms and these are no different, just thought i'd bring them in for a better picture.

    Cheers

    H
