ID help on big mushroom

I have a maple tree at the back of my property that has a little cave like structure in the base of the trunk. All spring and summer it has had mushrooms sprouting from it. The other day I noticed a little head going back into the hole, not sure what it was but it was munching on the mushroom! Any ideas what this is?

It's edible. Aslong as what you have is the Volvariella bombycina.

It may be a Volvariella bombycina, if it has a pink spore print and smells like bean sprouts.

Oh dang - I see I was late getting this typed.
