found this random lonely wild mushroom a few yards away from some false chanterells. it looks nothing like anything in my field guide. the pick is a bit shitt but you can sort of see that the stem is bruising purple slightly and im positive the gills are sinuate any one want to take a stab at it.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | very pleasant. i didn’t take a spore print but the pics that i found by goggling the name you gave look spot on. the purple on the stem could have been spores though. i was very careful to pull from the base of the stem so as to get as much of the body out as possible but the bruising was all the way up the stem as if i had touched the whole of the stem it was a very light shade of purple but i could be wrong on the colour. Im guessing that the bruising I saw was the spores. thanks man are these edible do you know?

sorry man. i must have caught a breeze with my flick. i cant find the sucker now. gona go out and look in day light tomorrow because i got 4 compost piles going at the moment, and it would be sweet to have these things poping up everywhere. if i can find it again tomorrow i plan to do a few un sterile 9er tek syringe and spread it around my composts. would it be possible to introduce mycelium from a button mushrooms and infect my garden compost in much the same way do you think?

Sorry Zodd, i went to watch the Nascar race. What some people do is take the caps and stir them in a bucket that has water and some nutes like corn syrup. REally it is just a larger unsterile form of a multi-spore LC. I think they let it set a day them spread it out over their beds. They say it works well. I have'nt tried it. If it is cold in your area i would'nt expect much till next spring when the weather is warmer. the Blewitt myc likes the temp about the same as the rest but fruits when the temp drops into the 50-60 F range. Like now.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yes!!! that sounds like an effective way to maximise inoculation points. but if i was to say put that cap and the stem in a blender first with some water, then stir that into the lc there would be spores and mushroom tissue inside the lc. i think i will try this out if it thanks dude im sending some good vibes your way
